Seafood Sampling and Wildlife Cruise (KE59)
or
Bering Sea Crab Fishermen's Tour (KE28)

It's me, my husband and our 14 yo daughter. I have the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman's Tour booked right now through DCL but now that I'm looking at the Seafood Sampling and Wildlife Cruise, it's looking more interesting....and cheaper.

Anyone have any experiences to share? I have only read how great the Deadliest Catch tour is, but tbh I don't know if it will keep our daughters interest (or mine for that matter). It seems to be a cool thing to say you've done, but we like more adventurous experiences. We will be doing the helo to glacier/dog sledding in Skagway and a canoe to glacier and ice cave walk in Juneau.

Love to hear anyone's input!

My DH loved the Bering Sea Tour. Have you looked booking it direct with Bering Sea? It will be cheaper than with DCL. Literally the ship is just down the pier from where the Wonder docks, so it is easy to get to on your own.

Yah, unfortunately they are booked up on the direct website. It's $56 per person more on DCL so it comes out to $168 more for our family. The other tour would be $108 cheaper but I don't want to get a "cheaper" excursion if it ends up not being as good as the Deadliest Catch one.

We went on the Bering Sea tour last July - we were 4 adults. 2 of the adults had never seen the show; but absolutely loved the excursion. In my opinion, there is plenty to hold a 14 year old's attention (and yours) -- there is a lot of interaction on the tour -- touching sea creatures, watching the eagles from the edge of the boat and photo opportunities. It was a fabulous excursion (we did book it direct on the website but our excursion was majority of guests from the ship; someone from the tour meets you on the dock and walks you to the excursion. Monitor the website in case there is a cancellation!--or call to inquire if they maintain a waitlist).
