Part of the Marriott Village a complex of three hotels on Vineland Avenue, just off of the 535.

It was about a mile to the 535 WDW entrance at DTD.

You can walk to Bahama breeze (highly recommended), and the Golden Corral which are both right next door...walk between the Fairfield and Courtyard hotels.

Nip across the road to Landys and Lone Star Steakhouse.

If I haven't specifically recommended somewhere its because we didn't eat there! We didn't have a bad meal at any time during our stay.

It was a very short drive left out of the hotel to the Orlando Premium Outlet. Possibly 1/3 mile. Then you pass Dixie Stampede, Outback Steakhouse (recommended), and then Publix. All within about a mile of the hotel.

Also easy access to Crossroads shopping and eating, and restaurants around the DTD WDW entrance…Olive Garden (highly recommended), Chilis (recommended), etc etc

The price is comparable to a hotel room so that makes it, as a small suite, very good practical value.

Living area: Sofa (can convert to a 2 sleeper sofa), easy chair, two good size tables, standard lamp, foot rest, full size television, chest of drawers.
Kitchen area: Sink, decent size fridge, microwave, coffee maker and cups and daily coffee and tea sachets. No utensils, or plates but breakfast ones are plastic and disposable so you can pick up some of those. Large writing table and swivelly business chair.
Bathroom: Bath and toilet. Plenty of fresh towels, shampoo and soap daily.
Separate washbasin area: Basin and large area for bottles. Large dress mirror. Hairdryer.
Bedroom: Two double beds (or choice of one kingsize), full size television, bedside table, wardrobe, full size iron and board, chest of drawers, air conditioning.

This is not a suite in the strict sense as all the areas are open to each other (apart from the obvious bathroom door) but it made very good use of what was a very large room.

Free continental breakfast:

Bakery: Bagels, Pastries, Bread for toasting, Muffins, Do-nuts
Cereals: Oatmeal, Individual pre-packed cereals. Separate raisins, sugar etc.
Dairy: All types of milk plus strawberry and chocolate.Yoghurts.
Fruit:Apples, Bananas, Oranges.
Sundries: Butter, Spread, Cream cheeses, Peanut butter, Knotts farm jams
Juices: Apple and Orange minute maid
Drinks: Coffee-regular and de-caff. Hot water, herbal teas and hot chocolate. Condiments.
Weekend specials: Eggs and Sausage and grits.

Disposable cutlery and dishes. Practical for taking to the room to eat if you wanted.

This was served from early until 9.30 in the week, and 10.30 at weekends. Cup carriers and tops and bags for bakery items were available to eat it in your room if you preferred, or if seating was a problem, which it was at busy times.

Other convenient facilities:

Free use of safes at reception
Free Starbucks coffee in the lobby at all times. With ‘carrier’ lidded cups if you wanted to take it to your room or to the pool.
Ice vending on all levels
Use of the other two hotels facilities. Including an indoor/outdoor pool at the courtyard.
On site food court shared with all three hotels.
Daily delivered newspaper

wow! That looks great! We may have to try that. What is the price range?

Maggie

We bought an inclusive travel package from the UK so I am not sure but I think rates start at $79 room, rising $89 $99 busier seasons. Marriott are a big chain I'm sure you could find up to date prices on the net.

keswick1uk ,

Thanks for all the great info on Marriott Village. I'm considering staying at SpringHill Suites or Residence Inn LBV.

I will be driving to Orlando, but will want to use the shuttle service to the parks, in order to avoid parking fees. I read somewhere shuttle service has a fee at SpringHill Suites but is free at Residence LBV. Did you have any experenices?

Also wondering if anyone knows the difference between the LBV properties and the Marriott Village LBV properities?

Thanks for anything!

I am sure the shuttles had a charge at the SS.

Hopefully someone on the main boards will be able to help with the Residence Inn.
