the terrorism that HAPPENED on 9/11 was Bush's excuse to go into Iraq. they didn't do anything to us. Afganistan(and i apologize if i spelled it wrong) was the country that attacked us. why aren't we there? why are we even in Iraq?

and if you actually paid attention instead of just picking apart things you don't like about my posts, i said that i do like the military, i just don't like what they're doing in Iraq. pay attention.

How can he blame the troops for following the leader?

Boehner is blaming the officers on the ground for the failures of the policies of the bush administration in Iraq and claiming that Rumsfeld is not responsible for any of these failures. That is plain wrong. Rumsfeld is the one who sent the troops in without sufficient forces, without a plan for the peace, without appropriate body armor and without armored vehicles. For Boehner to blame the officers on the ground for the failures of Rumsfeld is simply wrong. Boehner needs to apologize to the military.

Just to let you know, I was poking fun of that particular "saying" that a few libs on the political threads like to use. Not all the liberals in general and there's a few of you that are pleasant to deal with. You have to admit that the saying I'm talking about, is done in the way I describe it and I know of 3 posters that use it on a regular basis. You did notice I used no names because it's not right to bring up names of people who aren't on this thread as of yet.

The conservative thread is a lot nicer in many ways compared to the LT and I read both, daily. In fact the conservative thread was quiet for long time with no current posts. The LT is always hopping with something.

It's nicer because you agree with them! Now I can waste a bunch of my time and pull out nasty comment after nasty comment from the conservative thread about Liberals, but I'll let everyone judge for themselves.

well i think Bush has insulted our military without even saying anything. placing us in a country that has absoutly nothing to do with these terrorist attacks he claims, and then having thousands of innocent people killed(on both sides).

You are just as bad as Kerry. The disdain most liberals have for the military is so transparent. You can go on and on about supporting the troops but when you imply that the men and women serving in the armed services are dumb, it shows just how much you loath OUR soldiers.

Also, Kerry should have given the young students in California his secrets to success in life, marry rich!

Yesterday Kerry said he wouldn't apologize and today he does, not because he's sorry but because his feet were being held over the fire.

The Taliban supported/aided and shielded Al Queda, Afghanistan did not attack the US on 9-11 as the other poster suggested. If you recall, we gave them time to give up Al Queda members, they refused. We went in. Afghanistan, as a country, did not attack the US.

For slinging insults about intelligence and paying attention, she certainly does not seem up on some of the most relevant current events in this country.

The Taliban was the self proclaimed governing body at the time, even though most countries didn't recognize it.. It certainly was the taliban we were going after. So call it what you like it, it's kind of splitting hairs (and OT), but I'm guessing you knew what the poster meant and were just giving her a hard time.

Sorry you think I am splitting hairs...but even as YOU stated, the Taliban was not a recognized government of the Afghani people. We have never been 'at war' with Afghanistan. There is a HUGE difference between going after a specific group and being at war with a country.

And her post made it very clear what she meant and it was incorrect. She specifically said that Afghanistan was the country that attacked us. We were NOT attacked by any country on 9-11. She didn't even seem to understand that we are still over there. For someone who is telling others to 'pay attention' and talking about stupidity, she certainly does not seem to have a grasp on very relevant current issues.

You didn't do it correctly. You had part of the famous "left wing response" to anybody that doesn't think the way of the collective. You meesed up on the unbelieveable part though. The great ones on the LT don't use that.

Just look to the liberal thread to see how it's done properly and make sure you study the work of some of the "masters" over there. You have to add the proper "smilies" that convey the message that only you and people like you are the masters of truth and intelligence. Your intent must be to make that offending poster feel stupid and his opinion worthless. Here's how it's done and I'll give you an example below.

That's pretty close to how it's done but you really need to feel snarky and mean at the time when you do it. You can mix it up a little and throw in a few more jabs, but don't over due it and lose the affect of the original tag line.

I should have taken TCPluto's post and picked each response apart. It is amazing that he knows what Kerry is thinking. A hollow apology, and everyone knows it. Well all of you on the right think that, maybe because that describes the way you apologize.

He should have done it right away. Well, I think he gave everyone to much credit, just like he did with the Swift boaters' lies. He must of thought that no one would believe that he would intentionally insult the troops. I mean really, why would he do that?

IMHO none of you really believe that he insulted the troops, he should have read the speech. But things are going so bad for the republicans that you will grasp any straw and blow on it. Nothing I say will change your mind. I usually just read these threads but I just could not believe how this incident has been blown out of proportion.
