the survey was taken Sunday through Tuesday.

those surveyed felt Bush was too ideological and stubborn.

I wonder --- given that the survey took place right after Reagan's death, can people be drawing negative comparisons?I can't help but wonder -- Reagan was known for moderating his views and making compromises, for talking about a bright future. What does Bush talk about?

Sounds like calling Kerry a flip-flopper for changing his views over the course of a 20 year career in the Senate may be coming back to bite President Bush.

Eh, although it always makes me feel a little happy and hopeful to see such poll results, I generally don't put a lot of stock in them; it is far too early in the campaigns to give poll results any real weight, either way.

However, I do find your speculation interesting--it is true that all of the media attention on Reagan this week has served to show the marked contrast between his leadership style and Bush's style.

Yawn! Call me on Nov 3rd. The only poll that counts is the one taken on Nov 2nd.

I guess everyone missed the latest Zogby poll that puts it at 44 - 42 in favor of Kerry -- a statistical deadheat.

However, I am with dmadman43 -- *YAWN* -- the only poll that really counts is the one cast by the voters on Nov. 2nd. Until then it's just news filler.
