Happy Monday All!
We just returned from a relaxing weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park (Just off I-75 - a little north of Lexington)
There are no full hook ups - only electric/water, electric and primative.
The pool was nice and clean - NOT heated so take a deep breath! The CS were clean (a few cobwebs) and well lit!
The playground was a hit with the 2 DDs. We had a site that backed up to the playground and were at first worried about the noise, but it wasn't bad at all and the girls had a ball.
We didn't tour the actual horse park (we had visited last summer) so we went to the Children's Museum in downtown Lexington - Again a big hit with the kids. The area is full of cafes, shops and a farmers market. Great pizza at LA Pizza on Braodway!

A block away is Rupp Arena for the UK fans out there! Go Big Blue!

The campgrounds are closed right now to visitors due to the World Equestrian Games being held there until mid October.

Anyone traveling on I-75 should stop over. The people were very nice and chatty as well.

Thumbs Up!

Always a nice place to visit.

We were just there 2 weekends ago with 10 other families.

We camped there a couple of years ago and loved it as well. We also were in a site backing up to the playground (255 I think) and it was perfect for us. We look forward to returning someday.
