Last time we went to KSC we had a hire car and drove down but not hiring a car this time so can anyone recommend a tour operator. And if possible prices/ schedule. We're staying at AoA.

Last time we went to KSC we had a hire car and drove down but not hiring a car this time so can anyone recommend a tour operator. And if possible prices/ schedule. We're staying at AoA.

We booked through Florida tix and they were great. We booked the dine with an astronaut and the behind the scenes tour. The bus collected us from outside cirque at DTD and then picked up at a few other hotels on the route to KSC. The driver was excellent and put on a DVD for the drive back but most people slept as its a long day.
The meal we got at the dine with an astronaut was excellent and Fred Gregory was a lovely and interesting man who gave a very interesting talk.
The behind the scenes tour was well worth the extra money it took us to the vehicle assembly building and out past the launch pads. Again guide was excellent and all those we encountered at KSC were lovely,
Overall I would recommend Florida tix and they were cheaper than anywhere else. We called a couple of days before from our resort to confirm pick up at DTD. There were about a dozen other people waiting as well. It was a Florida dolphin tours coach and driver so Florida tix must contract through them.
It was around £90 each but that was everything included.
