Kennedy Space Centre

We're contemplating adding an extra 2 night stay in Florida at the end of our stay so that we can do KSC as well. Just wondering if it is truely worth it. We can add the stay for hardly anything...but we'd need a 2 day rental car and then the price of KSC admission. What do you think? I was there years ago (back in the 80's) so I don't remember that well how much I really got out of it, not to mention the fact that it's probably changed a fair bit since then.
Anyway, anxiously awaiting your responses.

Well worth it, IMO. We were there in December with our boys ages 2 and 5, and we all had a great time. I think we may go back on our next trip because we didn't get to see everything we wanted to see. The tour is long and you don't get to see the launch pads up close, but my boys talk about the Saturn V exhibits and movies all the time. The new Shuttle Launch Experience is amazing - one of the astronauts was quoted as saying it's the closest simulation to the real thing.

If anyone in your party is interested in space, I'd say it's well worth it. It's not a theme park, and doesn't have the thrills that that go along with that sort of attraction, but it is a one-of-a-kind educational experience.

We are planning on going to Kennedy. We are doing 10 days at WDW then one day at Kennedy, then 4 nights on a disney cruise... we have been to the Houston Space centre and enjoyed that..

We were at KSC 1 week ago with DD7 and DD10, they though it was great. We spent 7 hours there and still could have spent more time ( got cold only 44 degrees on January 2) Well worth the visit.
