Just wondering for those of you that have visited the space center. Is it an all day type of thing? If we got there around noon would we still have enough time to see most of it? Thanks!:wave2:

It's very interesting and there's lots to do, but you could still see a lot by arriving at noon. I wouldn't arrive any later though. The earlier the better.

I agree, you could see a lot in an afternoon, but you'd be better off getting there earlier, say mid morning if you dont want to miss anything/be rushing around to much.

Even better, get there early, then when you leave take a drive over to the coast and check out the fantastic beaches, Cocoa, Daytona etc. It's worth the effort - you could even take in the world renowned Ron Jon Surf shop, a treasure trove of funky beachwear !

:Pinkbounc :eek: :crazy: ::yes:: :bounce:

I second the motion to arrive a little earlier if possible, then hit Cocoa or one of the beach areas. Nice little break from Disney, and a good day's touring with less hectic surroundings.

We arrived there around 9:00 or so and got in at opening. We didn't leave until 4:00 or 4:30. This included seeing the two Imax movies and we missed a couple of the other shows.

Hope the OP doesn't mind if I piggy back a question on...Is a trip to KSC as exhausting as a day in the theme parks can be? Is there a lot of walking? I was considering this on a day off from WDW, but 9am-4-pm sounds like a pretty full day.

Thank you for any opinions!

It wasn't as tiring for us. Part of the time you are on a bus tour riding around the property. You get out at one building and take your time meandering through all the exhibits. Back at the main section the exhibits are things you can walk slowly through. I never felt rushed here. Then we saw the two movies which were in decent seats. Food was good at Orbits counter resaturant. Don't know if it is still there.

Thanks everyone! I wish we could get there earlier, unfortunately we are just flying in that morning from the west coast. We get into MCO at about 2am! So we're figuring that we could hopefully get up by 10am. This is our only day that we could check out KSC, all the other days are filled with Disney and IOA. Luckily though we've checked out the beaches a few times before (I have some family that live around there so whenever we visit they take us to the beaches).

Oh does anyone know how long it takes to drive from the airport area to KSC? That first night we'll be staying at one of the hotels right next to the airport. (After KSC we'll check into our 2nd hotel near IOA, stay there a few nights and then finally check into our main stay in Disney!!)

Thanks again everyone!:wave2:

It will take about an hour or so. I thought it would be an hour and a half from WDW but I think it was only an hour and fifteen minutes.
