We are going to take a Sunday in June in the middle of our 11 day stay at French Quarter to rent a car for a day to go to Kennedy Space Center. Looking for advice on renting a car for a day from French Quarter, best route to KSC on a Sunday, possible toll charges, and things to do once we get there. We are planning to spend the evening at Magic Kingdom since we have a late Be Our Guest ADR that day for 9:05pm. So thinking I'd like to be back at POFQ by 5:00pm. Will this be enough time to enjoy KSC if we leave early enough?

have you used a mapping tool yet? Your drive is 65 miles each way - virtually all highway and moving 70+ so figure an hour .... maybe a little more ... DRIVE time (plus parking walking yada yada

My recommended route would be SR-417 (toll) to SR-528 (toll) to
SR-407 to SR-405 which will take you to the parking lot (WELL MARKED ... follow the signs to Cape Canaveral and then to the KSC Visitor Center)

ENUF TIME? You want to look closely at the KSC Visitor web site. One of the highlights is a bus tour ... which takes time ... and there are optional extras.

If you want to be back at POFQ by 5, subtract and hour:15 travel time and any additional time for the rental turn in . . . so you are leaving KSC at 3:30 . . . . they close at 5 anyway

Total tolls should be $6 (one way) if I'm using

correctly

You can use cash at all of the tolls but electronic might save some time.

How rentals handle electronic tolls varies ... see

BUT I REPEAT YOU CAN PAY CASH
