Hi all, I will be visiting WDW in May with my Dad (who will be flying in from England) and he really wants to go to Kennedy Space Center for the day?

We are going May 2nd - 10th, and will be staying on site. Does any company offer Tours? What is reputable (? spelling)? He plans on taking a day to himself to do this so any help would be great.

Thanks in advance:)

When I stayed off site I just booked it through reception as they had leaflets in the foyer - worked out cheaper than going through the holiday reps.

I'm not sure about on site so you'll need somebody to confirm this - not sure if Disney would be helpful in getting you to spend a day in a non disney park??

We booked ours before we went through our TA. They booked it through Keith Prowse, so maybe you could it do yourself through Keith Prowse website. You get a voucher and have to call the company once you are in Orlando to decide what date you want to go. We had to be at All Stars for 7am to get picked up, and the reception at CSR were extremely helpful in getting us a cab. It was a full day, and we loved it so much we are going to do the trip again this year!

Did you use a TA based in England?

If he doesn't mind driving it's fairly straightforward (even I didn't get lost) and it doesn't take long.

I was talking to a friend about Kennedy today - she found it quite boring. I took the advice from someone on one of these boards when we went and purchased the bus tour for an additional cost - it was so mind numbing that I fell asleep on the bus.

I'm sure some folk will like it but for me it was a huge waste of dollars, as you need to pay for the tour on top of the Kennedy entry tickets.

I don't want to go and I know my kids are too young for my Dad to be able to enjoy it with them...Hence why he is going alone. I really wouldn't feel comfortable letting him drive. He doesn't drive when he is home with me in Boston and he knows our neighbourhood:)
I really feel a bus would be best..... I am looking into this.

Mears offer a very good service to Kennedy as my parents did it a few years ago from the CBR. Just as the concierge and he'll help. We did not pre-book, just booked it when we got there. I believe that Mears have a website as well.
