What would be the best day to visit the Space Center? We were planning on going on a Sunday. This would be in early Aug. Just wondering how the crowds would be? Or should we consider a weekday?

Does anyone know what the prices are? and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you

My daughter and I did KSC two years ago. At the time she was 10 years old, and she had a fun time there. I've follow the space program from day one, so for me it was great! KSC is huge! they have different tours you can pay to go on. that is not part of your addmission. To get an up to date price visit the KSC web page. I believe we payed about $28.00 ea. You also can get discounted tickets from Ticketmania. Because you have so much you can see and do, KSC will be an all day event.

Have a great time!!

We went on a Saturday the beginning of April (spring break for many). We got to KSC early, around 9:00a.m. It wasn't very crowded at all. We left and were on our way to Orlando by 2:00 p.m. I think the key is to get there early and do the bus tour first thing - before there are any lines to speak of.

Yes, the bus tour is the most popular attraction there and draws the biggest crowds from mid-day on, especially at weekends. Typically, the crowds are lightest Monday through Wednesday.

We were there a few weeks ago and had pre-purchased our tickets from Ticketmania, but they now have a new pricing system with a few different package prices.

We were there at opening and stayed until they closed at 5 and had a terrific time. Make sure and find the time to stop by the "Astronaut Encounter",as it's really interesting. We were very fortunate enough to meet astronaut Jon McBride who was the first pilot of the Challenger back in the 80's and we found that to be a real highlight of our visit.:)

Have fun!:D

Last trip I was wondering if you had to pay just to visit gift shop. No you do not! You leave a $10.60 deposit with front entrance. You return in 90 minutes and get your money back. I have toured KSC many times and did not know this.:bounce:

KSC is running a discount on their Dine With an Astronaut. It includes admission and is $59.45/$39.45 if purchased over the internet at their site. The best price I found for our upcoming trip was TicketMania at $29/$19. Paramount is actually a couple of dollars less, but they charge $15.00 shipping. NASA's gate price is $33/$23 and 1 yr passes are $46/$30.

I blieve AAA, Discover Card, and the Orlando Magi Card all will give you a ticket discount at the gate.
