KEnko extension tubes

while browsing the kenko site, the pics they have for these are telephoto ( mountains) although they mention macro also...so i am wondering, would there be a problem just using these all the time with the 18-55 lens in place of a bigger mm lens? not sure how the mm would add up and what it would end up being if I used all with the smaller lens...( compared to the 18-125mm) or added to the 125mm would it be enough to boost it to what? guessing it wouldn't be just simple addition of adding all the mms

also do these allow autofocusing?

The examples on the Kenko website is horribly wrong. All the descriptions are correct, though. One thing you need to remember that you can NOT always have the extension tube attached. Attach them whe you want to do Macro Shots only.

Another option is getting Hoya Macro Filter. To get a better result, whatever your lens diameter is (for Sigma 18-125 is 62mm), get a LARGER macro filter (in MY case is 67mm) and buy a ring coupler (from 62mm to 67mm).

Using the second option, it's a lot easier to change 'modes' from Macro to regular shooting.
