Ken Burn's National Parks

DH and I watched last night and enjoyed it. I plan to record the rest of the week. I just realized this afternoon that it's on every night this week and is 21/2 hours tonight. Disney is our favorite vacation destination followed by National Park trips :).

You mean there is such a thing as a national park geek? Count me in! Acadia is my favorite, mainly because it is closest. Would love to visit many more.

Will watch the series in my own time when the DVD comes out. Aleady have it on pre-order for the library.

It's going to fill up my DVR. Looking forward to it.

The last Burns doc I saw was the WWII one - fantastic.

I'm a Ken Burns fan too Anne, and a national park fan too. I wasn't able to watch, but I plan to see it when it comes out on DVD. Ken Burns actually spoke at my graduate school commencement at the University of Michigan.

I'm a huge fan of Ken Burns. I'm trying to keep up watching the series, but I'm also taping to the DVR just in case I fall asleep. I have the 3 Pirates' movies on there, too. I need to watch how much space is left. I hate the thought of having to erase one of the Pirates' movies.

LOVE the National Parks! Acadia is a favorite of mine, too!

That's so cool Dave.

I am a little bummed - I will have to choose tonight between National Parks and NCIS.

I also missed a little of the end of last nights as it got a little busy on the boards.

We're DVR-ing it too. But watching this week as well, one day behind.
Just saw Sunday night's installment last night.
Excellent of course- as we have come to expect from Ken Burns.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen the Civil War series. Also loved Baseball and Jazz. :thumbsup2

When National Parks comes to DVD, we'll add it to our collection.

I've been watching and recording the National Parks program too. Ken Burns puts together good documentaries. I've seen them all. He's also done some excellent ones on people as well. Mark Twain is one of my favorites.

Also on our PBS station, they are also running programs about the Florida State Park system at the same time.;)

I know I'm a geek but is anyone else watching this PBS series?

We love visiting the National Parks and are enjoying the new series. It would have been an experience to sit around the campfire with John Muir and President Roosevelt!

We're watching too and loving it.

When they got to the part with John Muir and Teddy Roosevelt in Yosemite, I said to DH, "See what you can learn from the American Adventure at Epcot?!"

:)

I'm watching it! I really like Ken Burns documentaries.

Ken Burns spoke at my college graduation (University of Michigan Engineering, winter term of 1997, in case anyone else was there?? :) ). I can't remember a thing of what he said, though!!

AnneR

I'll get to see NCIS and the PBS series tonight.

PBS is broadcasting this twice each evening. We are in the Central time zone and the first show is 7:00-9:00 followed immediately 9:00-11:00. Maybe you'll have a similar schedule with your local PBS station.

:happytv:

I have completely enjoyed watching almost every Ken Burns film, including the current National Park one.
