Just wanted to let you know that we haven't forgotten about you or the start of your journey. Please keep posting and let us know how you are doing.

Awww Thank you!! :)

I'm doing ok! Still on plan with no cheating but, I forgot how difficult the first few days were. No 'carb withdrawal' headache but I just feel a bit 'out of body' right now lol. My family will be glad when it's over.

I am drinking a lot of water but, I'm not ready to start walking at this point. The carbs really had a hold on me and I need to get them out of my system.

Thanks for the support and for checking on me. I will keep you posted. :)

I'm glad it is going good for you Kelsie. I've pretty much stuck to Atkins and switched yesterday for a trial with SouthBeach. Its amazing that I am eating so much food and yet I still experienced that 'first day' feeling [even though I've really been watching my carbs]. It just seemed like the more I ate the more I wanted. Oh well, I also had a good day one.

:sunny: I hope your week continues to be TERRIFIC!

Thank you Jody! :)

I am still hanging in there. It's a little difficult sticking to induction but day 6 is here and I'm taking it one day at a time. I thought about SouthBeach. It seems I miss fruit most of all but, I decided to give Atkins another try. :)

Hey, where is your WISH clippy???

I thought I would check in with the results from week 1 of induction.

I had really 'wished' for 5 pounds but the total loss for week 1 is 4 pounds. I realize I am gettting older and won't drop the 10 in one week as I could 10 years ago so, I will take it and be happy that they are gone! :)

Now, why didn't someone design a 14 pound clippy??? ;)

Thanks everyone!

In regards to my 'wish' clippie --

I've been struggling SO MUCH. I had lost most of my weight [35 pounds to date] right before the WISH challenge [even though I did it thru WISH support, the challenge hadn't started yet] and it seemed to depress me to look at that 10 pound clippie for so many months on end without it moving. I'm just now starting to see the scale move. I didn't go off program -- my body just decided to not cooperate. I've gone thru so much with my hysterectomy and thyroid issues.:( So, Since I added the WISHcon it shows that I will always be a WISHer but I decided to just show my total loss since starting my healthy eating rather than the amount in the clippie since the challenge started. I am showing this total loss in my signature. And guess what -- my first week on SB has been so succesful that I think I'll be able to up my total loss by 5 pounds really soon --- any day now!!!!! I haven't been able to drop these pounds since July of 2003 so this is a wonderful feeling right now. I'll SOON be at a 40 pound total loss --- wooo hoooo!

Congrats to you, Kels!! You did good! Isn't it funny how the second time around the body tells us "I know what you're trying to do NOW" and slows us down. Down let it discourage you, though.

God bless!

Kelsie! WOO HOO!!! Losing 4 pounds in just one week is awesome progress. Way to go, my friend.

Thanks! :)

I am starting my 2nd week of induction and feeling pretty good right now! I've had a lot of pain this week due to a back problem but, it is starting to feel better and I am ready for the next week.

Jody, I understand! You need to do what ever helps you! :)

I will keep everyone posted!
