My cousin Kelcey found out last week that he has diabetes. He's a really small guy so we don't know why he got it. He's about 5'5'' and was 119 pounds. He's lost 16 pounds in the past few days. He went to the doctor and is now on medication. We're hoping he's going to be well enough to go to college in North Carolina this fall.

there are a couple of types of diabetes

the kind where your pancreas doesn't make insulin

and the kind where it doesn't make glucogon

he has the latter probly

do you know if he has type 1 or type 2? that makes a big difference in how his life will progress. I forget which one is easier to live with, but one of them is.

My mom has diabetes and so do several of my friends. Eventually, it just becomes part of who you are.
