We are staying in a 1 bedroom at SSR next week... I've heard the AC is motion sensored.

This poses a HUGE problem for me... If it isn't ice cold (I'm talking I sleep with the windows open a bit in winter) I can't sleep...

Is there any way to keep the air going all night? What's the best trick you've used??

I'd like to know the answer to this too--but because I want to shut the AC off--LOL

We had the opposite problem this summer. We stayed in Congress Park and our rooms were like meat lockers. Even my sil who has hot flashes was cold, that's how cold it was. Maybe it was already disabled. The rooms were always freezing when we returned from the parks.

Thanks for the link to the directions. I am checking into SSR on thursday and I like to be cold when I sleep. I have tried the balloon and that did not work. One time I called maintainance, but that was a pain.

We used a helium balloon last fall and it worked well. Just try to put it somewhere the air conditioner will blow the balloon and sense it. Good luck!

Haven't looked at the link, but we just called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person to turn off the motion sensor.

We always FREEZE, so I'm sure you'll be fine! I even sleep with that heavy comforter on top of me, it gets so cold. Dh loves it tho!:rolleyes1

I bought blankets for the kids last summer so they wouldn't get sick at night. It did make the warm summer air feel good when we stepped out tho!:rotfl:

Just returned from SSR on Saturday, and we were COLD the entire time! Kept having to turn the temp up. And we also like it cold while sleeping. I had the override directions with me, and never had to use them! :lmao:
For some reason, seemed like everywhere we went was super-cold the whole week - and of course, it was super HOT outside!
