Keeping things cold

Another first time cruiser question here!! I know we can bring a limited number of beers or wine on the ship with us. Are there refrigerators in the rooms to keep beers cold? Or how do others keep them cold. I hate drinking beer that's not ice cold so if I can't keep it cold, I'll just opt to bring wine.

Thanks!

There are mini-fridges but they don't keep things terribly cold IMO. Unless they've changed them recently, I'd describe them more as cold boxes than fridges. But as someone else pointed out, your room steward can bring you ice and then you can put that into the fridge with the beer and that should keep them cold for quite a while. Then just refresh ice as needed.

There was a time that the "fridge" in the staterooms was actually just a "cooling box". Little more than a typical insulated cooler.

After the dream class ships arrived, all the rooms received actual, small, dorm-style refrigerators. Now, whether the fridge actually works, that's another question. We've had fridges that were just fine for keeping things cold. As well as at least one that formed ice crystals in our sodas in there. And a few that that required the addition of the ice bucket into the fridge to actually keep things "cool".
