I’m hoping they don’t go back to charging for 2 fancy rides in each park. Remy is lovely, but not worth the extra cost. MMRR has manageable lines in the morning and evening. Space and EE should aren’t new rides. I know it’s wishful thinking but here’s hoping.

I have a feeling that they may just keep it to one fancy ride per park. There just are not enough G+ rides in AK, Epcot or HS to handle the demand if Disney converts a second ride to ILL$ in each park. I think they made the "temporary" change in order to gather data and assess whether G+ works better (i.e. greater guest satisfaction) with only one ILL$ per park.

I agree with your reasoning, but the Disney website still shows the rides going back to ILL on Aug 7. Which would actually make three ILL in Epcot. I have no idea how to plan my park days since we would prefer to G+ Frozen for an evening time, but will rope drop it if it goes back to ILL.

I’m curious too. It seems like the crowds have been lower than expected lately. And that means they could be fairly low in the fall. It wouldn’t make much sense to go back to 2 ILL’s if the demand isn’t there. Already I’ve been seeing the Guardians VQ staying open way past 1 pm, so no need to get one for it when you are almost guaranteed a VQ in the afternoon. We are going the week of Labor Day.

I just wish they'd say what they're going to do. We leave in a week and it makes it slightly challenging to both plan and budget (we have G+ but adding an ILL in each park for a party of 5 is a good chunk of change I need to decide if we will spend and may impact our touring plans). I'm planning on it going back and just cramming as much use out of G+ as I can in our first few park days but come on...I paid for something, I want to know what I'm getting a couple of weeks out.

I wish I knew what to root for. One the one hand, it’s absurd to have 2 $ILL rides in parks like Epcot and AK that don’t have the capacity to justify Genie+. On the other, I’m only going to be in Epcot one day, and if Remy is $ILL, I can throw my Genie+ money at booking that and Guardians at times I want instead of whatever the system throws out as next availability, reducing the amount of crisscrossing and backtracking multiple times with two small kids in tow. The inability to plan your day is just the worst. I’m youngish and reasonably fit, but Epcot is huge. Please, Bob and Josh, just let us go back to booking these things in advance. Keep the money, but make the system marginally less terrible. From a UI perspective, there was nothing wrong with the way FP+ worked. But it was free and left first-timers who didn’t bother to do a minute’s research out in the cold, and Disney sells more merch to first timers than repeat visitors, so here we are.
