How does everyone keep in touch at Disney..we are hoping to do most of the parks together but as i have a girl of 7 and a boy of 13 i think at some point we will go our seperate ways and keeping in touch will be very important...any help yet again is appreciated!

Last year we went our separate ways at HS, DH and DD went Star Wars character hunting and DS and I went and had lunch. We kept in touch with walkie talkies, they worked great:thumbsup2

Walkie-talkies are probably the best idea. I find using my mobile so stressful! It costs a bomb & the network isn't always reliable. Some people buy a cheap pay as go type mobile when there out there but meh, i prefer walkie-talkies (which you can buy from Walmart like another poster said). :teeth:

Tried the walkie talkies a few years back, useless. Also tried them on Disney ships also useless. Maybe they have improved but signal was not good for us and far too many others using them.

We arrange meeting points & times, if anything changes we text, never adds more than a few £ on bill, certainly not worth looking at other options for us.

We bought cheap payg phones from Best Buy for this trip as there were a few of us.
The phoned were $9.99 and then we added $15 top-up card. Only downside is that credit expires after 1 month and the sim expires in 3 months.

We have still to work out if buying new sims would be an option so that we can use them again for subsequent usa trips :).
