I have poncos for us, rain cover for the strollers, but never thought of what to do about the golf cart??

Just thinking if we come back from MK and it had rained? We'd be parked near the marina. The seats will be wet. Do you all just carry a towel for when you get back and wipe it down or just get over it.

LoL...never really thought about this as a problem before. I have removed my roof because I like the "topless convertable" look...but I doubt a roof would really prevent much rain from hitting the seat anyway. I do carry a hand towel(golf towel?) in my glove compartment, and guess if it were an issue, thats what I would use. But if Ive been walking the parks all day and its been raining...I doubt the wet seats would phase me much...whats a few more drops of water strategically placed on my butt gonna hurt??

A cheap blue tarp and some bungies would do the job probably.

For my bicycle, I plan on using a gas grill cover.

If its your golf cart, purchase a rain cover, theri only about $40.00

If its Disneys, through a towel in the front storage compartments just iun case!

We are renting one from Disney, I wasn't aware of any storage compartment.

I'll trow a towel in there.

The rented carts dont have enclosed compartments...they are open. Throw a couple of napkins in the stroller.

Walmart sells outdoor furniture covers. Buy the one for an outdoor swing..it's about $10.00. It fits PERFECTLY over the golf cart. It's folded up small..made of a tarp type material. You could just keep it under the back seat should you need it. I've had one of the $40.00 golf cart covers..and this swing cover fits much better, and it's waterproof. I forget who it was..but someone told me about it here on the Dis...I should probably thank someone..but I forget who it was that posted it once before. So Thanks..and I'm passing the great advise along!

We kept a towel in the Disney carts. It is open on the inside...but if you roll up the towel and shove it in the back it should stay dry. AAMOF, I think we kept two towels in ours because we did get a little rain just about every day we were there.

The last time we stayed at the fort (back in the early 90's) it rained every day we were there so my folks (i was prob only 10 or 11) went out and bought a roll of clear saran wrap and wrapped it around the front to make a wind shield it was kinda funny granted it didnt work..... but anyways when I was at the fort for the back yard bbq in august I saw a lot of blue tarps tied on to the carts

We read the idea about the swing cover and bought one at Wal-Mart and used it while we parked the golf cart in our back yard for a while. Now I just park the truck in the drive way and leave the golf cart in the garage. But it did fit perfectly and was made of a good heavy weight of tarp material.

We bought a Sunbrella rain enclosure that covers the roof and zips in the back seat and sides plus there is a windshield so we just zip it up when we park if there is any prediction of rain...like there would ever be a time when there wouldn't be... and roll 'em up if it's hot on the way back to the camp site. The valance matches the seat covers and the paint on the cart so it looks pretty sharp.

We've always used left over ponchos or garbage bags as protection from the rain. Not much help, but fortunately the ride isn't very long ;)

This works! I actually use this for my personal golf cart at home. Since my cart stays outside and needs a cover, i use this one. I replace it about 2 or 3 times a year because of the sun. It is a low cost investment. (I have a permanent one on order, but these things fit soooo well)
