Keep Movin' in May: May Exercise Challenge

Day one, week 3, ripped in 30...ugh! I think I hate this week worse than last! But it is burning stuff!!

I also started my couch to 5k..but since I've been pretty active on treadmill I am modifying it...I will do 3.1 miles every other day...trying to add or maintain my running goals...today I ran for 1/2 a mile (split up into two quarter miles) it felt GREAT!! My heart rate jumped to 176 so I think that is all I should sustain until my body catches up! It took me 53 minutes to complete it and I am claiming ALL 53, no more rounding down because that burned me up! I'm sweating like a pig...yuck!

Great job with Ripped & running. I haven't kept up with Ripped. I'm going to try to do it a couple days a week, but I'm trying to run on the days DSs don't have soccer, so it makes it hard. But NO EXCUSES & I am planning to do it tomorrow.

36 minutes of running & a little walking in 88 degrees and horrible humidity & pressure. My poor dog pooped out & we had to walk the last .4 miles home & she's an awesome runner. Silly western PA weather!

Total=586/900
Thanks :)

Out walking today to walk away any lingering soreness from the race yesterday. Not nearly as sore as I suspected. Guess those ice baths really do work. :lmao:

indygirl - good for you! stubborness can take you far :thumbsup2

Not much done in the last few days - heat and humidity picking up and I'm needing to get better about hydrating and getting out early.

5/17 - 15 min
5/19 - 40 min
5/20 - 16 min

667/900

Prayers for those poor folks in OK. Unbelievable devastation - I can't imagine looking down my street and seeing EVERY home flattened and every tree cut in half.

2nd day of week 3 ripped...sigh...I am building something that's for sure!

Updated through post 319!

Sorry for missing my usual monday update. Unexpected life stuff.

As for me, I did 30 solid minutes of PT yesterday and I'm counting every second. 468/900

I've decided that choosing 900 as my goal is my curse. Every time I aim for above 800, I get hurt and get no where near it. I'm not saying it's related - not like I push too hard and end up hurt. Because I don't usually get hurt doing anything useful. Given all my new limitations (shoulder and now foot too), I'm going to try very hard to make 900, but I'm not going to push myself and end up more hurt.

Keep it up everyone :cheer2: We are 64% of the way through the month with 10.5 days to go!

Any chance I can opt-in for the last ten days of the month? I'm down to my last 10% of a pretty lengthy weight loss and I've added considerably to my daily routine. Which means it's pretty much like crawling across broken glass every day. If I'm accountable here, it's that much harder to beg off.
