Ok. I am fine tuning my ressies. I have a month to go! :) And I have one ressie in particular I am wondering about: Chef Mickeys. I've heard so many negative review about this place I'm wondering if I should try another place instead. I am a solo traveler primarily and am looking at: Cape May, Captain's Grill or Kona to replace it should I decide to.

Thanks,

Anna

I haven't read any reviews recently, but Chef Mickey's is one of our favorite dining experiences at WDW! Granted, we have small children so we did it for the characters, not the food. We ate breakfast there and it was very good. If you're not going for the characters, you might want to try one of the other restaurants. Have fun! We're going back in December!

If you have never done CM and are wanting character meals I think it us a must-do at least once.

I eventually dropped it from our list this year but ONLY because we've done it and wanted to try new places. I don't think it is awful and you will hear mixed reviews about any restaurant. Part of the problem is, I suspect, that expectations are too high and people go in there and are disappointed. I would say keep it if you have never been, but if you've done it and want to try something else, then don't worry.

If you want to do a character dining, then I would keep Chef Mickey's. However, if you want to have a better meal, then all of your other choices are better options. I especially like Kona.
