I've been a devout CROCS person for at least a couple of years. Yesterday, I see a woman at my hair salon wearing some very interesting CROC-like shoes. She said they were KEENS, and that she found them to be more supportive than CROCS. They were a little difficult to find, but I tracked them down on the net and ordered a pair -- hope they get here in time to try out on our trip next week!

Anyone have any experience with KEEN shoes? Particularly the Shanti or Yogui model? How does the sizing compare to CROCS? They only have whole sizes, like the Cayman CROCS, so I ordered a 9 for my 8.5 feet. . .

Greatly appreciate any input!!:flower3:

i don't know any specifics, but i know i've read great reviews of keen sandals here on the dis

My DNiece loves Keen. She hasn't that type of shoe, but has others that she loves. She spent a summer working in an "exclusive" shoe store near Baltimore, MD and Keen was a brand she sold.

Keens are very good shoes. I own two pairs of the sandals and one pair of the shoes.

I have the Keen Shantis in Apricot. I posted asking the same question as you months ago before I bought them but never got any replies so I don't think they are very well known. I wear an 8 and ordered an 8 and they are plenty roomy.

If I wear them to walk very far (like an hour even) my heels hurt so bad I can barely hobble, and it's like that for days before they straighten out again, so the Shanti's are staying home. I would really give them a workout before taking them to the World if I were you.

My Keen Newports give me blisters no matter how long I wear them, trying to break them in, but that is probably because of my horrible wide feet. I gave up. The Crocs are going, the Keens are staying home.

I have found that having wide feet it usually pays to go a size up on Keens. I normally wear a 12 and I usually wear a 13 in Keens.
