Keen Shoes? Ladies?

I was going to ask the same thing about Crocs. Looked at their webpage and really like the Primas. Anyone have experience with them? How about a Crocs-Keen comparison? I am a vegetarian so animal friendly shoes are always better.
Thanks for your info!
Eagerly aniticipating my upcoming vacation to WDW...

I have loved my keens all summer!! I just bought the basic pair with straps across the foot. I bought them for comfort and with our disney trip in mind!! We are leaving in 6 days! I also bought them for my kids and they have been worn all summer! I hardly even feel like I am wearing a shoe.

Great shoe and VERY comfortable- don't think that I will take anything else to walk in except a dressy sandal for a dinner out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my Keen Newport H2s. I have them in black:

I found they ran about a half size small. I also have a pair of crocs and to me there is NO comparison. I spent 3 days walking around WDW in my Keens in February without a second thought.

They are almost ugly as all get out, but cool, comfy, and quick drying.

I'm actually stalking the post-summer sales in the hopes I can pick up another pair on sale. They are spendy, but worth every penny to me, but if I can get them on sale, all the better!!!!!

DS (age 9) has a pair as well, and he's allowed to wear them to camp in the summer, since his toes are covered and the heel strap is one piece, and it's got the adjustable bungee.

BOTH my kids have the KEENs , they are GREAT and WAYYYYYYYYYYY better looking then the Crocs which they also have..I paid 55.00 per pair for the kids pairs ,im not sure on adult prices, But again, wayy nicer looking then the crocs

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a picture of the above shoe. I'm going to check them out.

I love Keens! After I bought my first pair in May, I bought 4 more pairs in different styles/colors. DS5 has Keen Newports which I picked up on sale at the beginning of the year for around $32. I think they are more protective than Tevas. I love the toe protection. DH has Keen Newport sandals and clogs both of which he loves!

I found the best deals online. But, try to find a store that has what you want so can try them on. I have wide feet and the Keen Newport sandals are too narrow for me. But, the Keen H2s (a previous poster posted a picture) were perfect. They are very lightweight and flexible. We will all be wearing our Keens to Disney in October.

I also have Keen Mary Janes. One style I have is Sydney which I love so much I have it in 3 colors. They are lightweight and so comfortable. They look great with all my pants and I can chase my kids around the playground with them on. I can't remember the name of the other style I have.

I am going in December, will the Keens be enough for the weather then? Do I still need to be anticipating rain in December?
thanks for your experienced posts!

What web site can you buy them at? Love, Love my Croc's but they look great also.

I have a wide foot and love my Keens! I have the Venice H2s in purple. I wore them all over DL last month (without breaking them in) and didn't get one blister! They're great!!! They ventilate really well, and my feet were hardly sweating at all. No smell either when I took them off, which says a lot for a shoe you don't wear with socks, IMO.

I just ordered a pair of the sandels. They should arrive in this week...:) Can't wait to try them on.

Another vote for the Keens....tho' I never tried Crocs. (they don't look comfy to me. No offense to all you Croc lovers....I just don't think I'd like the rubber).

I have keen Newports (not H-2). The regular Newports are made of suede, instead of the more nylon-ish H2s. The style looks the same. I got them online. Zappos carries them as well as some camping-type stores like REI. I had to order 1/2 size up.

They were THE best WDW shoe ever. No achy calves at night, which is a first for me. Hope you enjoy them, too. And if anyone finds a sale, please post! :)

Guess I'm the lone dissenter about Keens. I got the Venice style and tried to break them in before my WDW trip, so I hotfooted around Manhattan in them. OMG, were they ever the most uncomfortable shoe disguised as a walking shoe. I had the right size, so that wasn't it, but I had hotspots that required two layers of moleskin just to make them tolerable. They rubbed on the heel, and on the outer part of my ankles (below the bone) on the sides. The balls of my feet also felt like they were on fire.

I literally cringed the second day at the thought of slipping my sore feet gingerly into those painful shoes! Later, I heard a lot of mixed feedback about the Venice style of Keens. Looking back on it, maybe that's why I found so many websites clearancing them. Lucky for me, I contacted the website where I got them and they agreed to let me return them.

Crocs and Teva Mush flip flops were my shoes of choice last week at Disney, and I never had a single problem with sore feet. Just my $0.02 worth!

I have the Newport H2 (pictured in the 4th post) I haven't worn them to Disney yet but I did get some use out of them this summer. I love them.
I originally tried the other type of Newports (not H2) they are a leather I guess. I wore them around the house for 10 mins and they were so hot! I returned them and got the H2. Much cooler. :thumbsup2 I agree that they run about a 1/2 size small so if you are going to order them on line see if you can find a store that carries them so you can try them on before ordering. Its such a pain to send things back.

I have the Keen Rosarita which are like huarache sandals. They're very comfortable and I took them to WDW in August. I wear a size 9 and ended up having to get a 7 1/2 in the Keen. Then last week I ordered a pair of Keen clogs, but I feel like I'm wearing heels with them. Otherwise they're comfortable, but I'm sending them back and I'll end up getting a pair of Clark's clogs. Much more comfortable for me.
