Has anyone tried these sandals at WDW? I did a search here, but just come up with other Keen styles (I think these are new this season.) I'm looking for a pair of comfortable sandals to accomodate my problem feet. I really need something with good arch support. The fact that these sandals are waterproof would be a plus at WDW. I'm just looking for feedback on someone who has actually put them to the test.

I tried a pair of the Keen Newports last year, but just couldn't wear them...didn't feel right and they made my feet hot.

I went shopping this morning to get Crocs, but after trying on several different styles I gave up...just not the shoe for me. Then I found these Keen Sarasota sandals...trying to decide whether to go back and purchase them for our trip in May.

Haven't tried them, but I love them. They look so comfy!:thumbsup2

I just posted on the other sandal thread. DH got these last year and wore them all day, every day on our Disney trip. He is very shoe "picky" and loves these. They still look and wear like new, so they are going to be his shoe of choice in 10 days when we return to Disney.

I'm like your DH when it comes to shoes, but I told my DW that I would like to try a pair of these and she almost hit the floor from shock!!!::confused3

I checked on the men's version of this shoe...is this the one you guys are talking about? It was the only open-toed style that I saw for Men's Keens. This is called the "Napali". It has more straps than the women's Sarasota.

I'll find out this summer! I bought these as one of my pairs to take with this summer. (Along with these, I also got the Ecco Receptor.)

I like that the Keens can be thrown in the washer and are water proof and anti-microbial.

What is the difference between the two shoes? They look almost identical, except the Ecco Receptor is considerablly more expensive. Are the Ecco's not waterproof?

Here is the Ecco Receptor:

...I am a total Keen freak and my whole family has become one too. My DH first got a pair because my BIL had some and said they were AMAZING - they both have foot and knee problems. My DH wears prescription orthotics for his very bad plantar faciaitus, but suddenly didnt need them w/ his Keens. This convinced me to get some, I have a congenital back disorder and have gotten to the point that most shoes 'dont work' for me. I now own - cant believe this - about 6 pair.:scared1: They are essentailly the only shoes I wear now, even my tennis shoes are Keen. (The 6 include 2 pair of sandals, the tennis shoes, and 3 pairs of clog/work type shoes - I work in a lab and am on my feet all day...)

BOTH of my sisters, who are picky about having "cute" shoes have now given in and gotten Keens too (one is up to 3 pair...)

When I go to WDW I only take one pair of shoes - my Keen sandals - they work for travel, the parks, AND the pool!:thumbsup2 You'll :cloud9: them!

Actually, it's a different style of Ecco that I have - it's called the "Yucatan."

Here's the link (don't know yet how to post the actual picture.)

Here's the photo of the Yucatan sandals...I wondered why you would have bought two almost identical sandals! Interesting that they would call these "Yucatan"...they are just like the ones I bought to take to the Yucatan in Mexico this past summer! (I wore them hiking through the jungle!)

Yeah...you are right! I do think I should get a small fee for all of the converts I have gotten them! No less than 7 family members, atleast 4 DIS friends, and atleast 2 coworkers - and not a one that doesnt love them!:thumbsup2 So, dont go ruining my record!:lmao: (I'm sure they are not perfect for someone - but sooo glad thats not me.:) )

Anyway, hope you find something that makes you happy!
