On BF I decided to stay in and shop online. The entire day was horrible, I spent hours looking for sales that were supposed to be on for that day via online, was running into site after site that was too busy, or just plain shut down. :badpc:

Well KB toys was the only place I had any luck so I did a good amount of my shopping there. They decide to write to me today and tell me that half of my order is on back order!! :confused3
They claim the items might ship on the 19th with an expected delivery date of Dec 27th! Iam beyound irritated with them. They said by law they had to give me the option to not have them shipped and my credit card reimbursed, but we all know that money wont likely show up on my account for several weeks.
I write to them and told them in my opinion that if the order will be into them on the 19th I feel for the inconvience they should expedite the shipping on their dime and get me my order before Christmas. I wrote to them early this am and still have not heard a responce to my request.

Am I wrong to expect some sort of rectification from them? I dont want to seem like IM looking for something for nothing but I really dont have the money to put on replacing those items while waiting for my credit card to be credited, at least not without having to dip into $$ intended for other gifts.

Why can't they do an immediate credit to your card? Did they say the credit would take 3 weeks? THAT IS NUTS!!!

Whenever this happens to me I usually notice a credit within 3 or 4 days.

Actually they didnt say that, its just been my experience that with online credit card refunds they ask you to expect 3-4 weeks. IM afraid to get into that situation. Someone did suggest to me calling customer service tomorrow and asking if I can pick the items up at a local store. Defeats the purpose of online shopping IMO but it beats having to go into the money set aside for other gifts.

Had the same thing happen to me with KB toys last year...my order showed up on the Monday after Christmas...

IMO, if something isn't available in their warehouse, they should have to note that it's back-ordered! I don't want to order something and expect it soon and then get an email telling me it's gonna be a while....

If the items haven't shipped yet, then your credit card shouldn't have been charged. Have you checked and seen the charges on there?

If for some reason the charges are there and it does take that long to get them credited, you just have to put the charges into dispute with your credit card company (saying a credit is pending). Then you don't have to pay that portion of your bill, and you won't be charged any fees or interest on those charges
