Monday 4th November 2002 Day Twelve
Up late again this morning after Jellyrolls last night. We walked to Epcot to meet our friend for the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway. We met Aurora, Snow White, Belle, Mary Poppins and Jasmine. The characters were great and I got lots of photos. For the breakfast I was given a separate veggie plate, which was really good. You can also ask for extra of anything you wanted.
After breakfast Di had more pins for me to encourage my habit. We went shopping at the Florida Mall and the Premium Outlet Mall. We brought loads of stuff from the Yankee Candle shop and in the Disney Store An Elvis Stitch and more pins. Alan got some great Tiger Woods Nike stuff too. I think we tired our friends out walking around all those shops. We headed for Downtown Disney where Wolfgang Puck was going a book signing in the restaurant so we brought a book for him to sign and had our pictures taken.
We went to Giordanos which was busy and there was loads so we had it boxed up to take away. We went to the Drugstore next door to pick up a few bits and I got the kitties some more treats. Then our friends drove us back to the Boardwalk.
Tuesday 5th November 2002 Day Thirteen
We were at the Magic Kingdom for opening today and got to see the train pull in. We met Mike and Di and had out photo taken together in front of the castle before our tour.
We checked in by Town Hall for the Keys to the Kingdom tour. We got lanyards to wear which had guest passes on them and a Keys to the Kingdom badge with our names on. Our guide was carol who was very informative and enthusiastic. We walked up Main Street and along the way Carol was pointing things out and answering questions for us. Along the way people tried to join our tour and follow us which I found very funny.
We walked in to Adventureland and on the Jungle Cruise with no wait. Carol told us some backstage things about this ride and showed us where the Hidden Mickeys are. After this we went backstage to see the parade floats and the Electrical Parade Floats. They had some of the Christmas decorations ready to go up. Lunch was a Columbia Harbour House upstairs in the dining room where we were given a special Keys to the Kingdom Tour pin!
Haunted Mansion was next Carol told us to look out for some special stuff on her and we entered through the disabled access, the queue outside was huge so we were glad of this. We went backstage again and down to the Utilidoors, which was very interesting and then back to Main Street where our tour ended. I havent said too much about the tour so as not to spoil it for anyone. There is a lot of walking in this tour so we got the monorail to the Contemporary to Mike and Dis car and then drove out to there house. Di is the biggest Pooh fan ever, I have never seen so much Pooh stuff in my life. There were beanies, plushes, pins, books, clothes, soaps and ornaments. Mike is a big pin fan and collects Disney memorabilia so we spent some time looking at his wonderful collection.
We then headed to Chef Mickeys for dinner at the contemporary. It was a great dinner buffet with lovely desserts, After dinner it was back to DTD to shop and you know Di and I love to shop we spent loads here and I had lots of bags. Alan got his niece the Tinkerbell outfit for Christmas.
After this we went back to the Boardwalk and said our goodbyes to Mike and Di and thanked them for entertaining us for the past couple of days. We were going to see them at their jobs on our last day
