Seems by tonight we should be getting the "remnants" of Katrina. 3-5" of rain, strong winds.

Anyone else expecting her to visit?

When I first saw this post I thought you were talking about carpets!

 It is raining here now but the TStorms haven't hit yet...they are still to the south. Just peeked at the radar and the yellow is about one county below us. No wind at all though yet.

I hear we'll get an inch or two. Cool. We need it.

Yep, we are supposed to get 1-2 inches of rain tonight with "spinoff" tornadoes.

My grandfather says we're going to get some. Not to sound like a spoiled brat when so many's peoples livelyhoods are gone, but you spend so much time on your hair the first day of school and it's going to rain

We do too. It's been a very dry summer. I'm thankful for some rain, and those poor people down south have way too much. Too bad it can't all even out.

I think in PA we are supposed to get some bad storms. Hopefully they will hold off until after my classes tonight! :goodvibes

Well since i live in the same area as you...yep. I saw that it is going to pass right over us...yep we need the rain, but I could do without it.

Do you remember the rain we got right after Labor day last year? That was also leftovers of a hurricane wasn't it?

We had some severe weather in the greater Atlanta area last night. We are still under tornado watch until 6 pm today. We were under flood watch last night, and it rained a lot in some areas.

She's just leaving here. Just in time, I fly to WDW this afternoon!!!!!!

We had heavy rain and wind all night last night. We got in from cub scouts about 8:00 PM and it was pouring....when we got inside there was a message on our machine from my niece saying they came on TV to say there was a tornado on the ground about 4 miles from us, she had just called before we came in. Called them back and they said it was in the area we had just driven through....... :confused3 we didn't see anything.....just lots of wind and rain. Anyway, we hearded everyone down to the basement to be on the safe side. This morning I can't find anything about a tornado touching down in that area.

Oh well, we are still under a tornado advisory until late this afternoon. Have had wind gusts up to 30 mph and heavy rains......many of the county schools canceled class today.......DS was hoping his school would cancel but they didn't. With the weather though, I'm glad he is just 5 minutes away from me.

we have gotten a little bit of rain off and on so far, but I think that it supposed to really start later this afternoon or tonight.

we have had inches of rain--at least 3--since early this morning. We've had steady winds, but nothing horribly gusty. That's supposed to come this afternoon....but, it is raining so hard right now.

I think the tornadic stuff is supposed to be east of us.

Lucky, compared to what's going on in Louisiana and Mississippi :(

Late tonite or early tomorrow they say. But we live in Canada so by the time it gets here they said to expect high winds but not that much rain for our city

I'm hearing that we're in for some flooding, which makes me nervous. Last year our town got hit pretty hard from the remnants of Ivan with the flooding.
