The NWS just released an updated track for Katrina and it has been shifted significantly west. There is a good chance it will not even make its second landfall anywhere in Florida. It looks good-to-go for all of you lucky people headed to the Mouse House.Have fun! :earsboy:

Yep... I am thankful of that too! I am in SW Fl where is was suppose to exit out of... everything here was canceled...schools, collages, garbage & guess what....the storm didn't follow the projected path. We were out of the path & things were already canceled. I think they jumped the gun on cancellations. The schools could have decided last night instead of yesterday. Now we have a wasted hurricane day... and in the event we really do need it, we only have one left (built into the school calander) to use :confused3 wish they would wait a bit longer before closing down. Today we have had less rain than on a "normal" summer day :umbrella:

Great, now it's headed my way. As much as I would like a day off from work, I am supposed to head to central MS for a mediation Tuesday, so it probably won't affect that.

tjevans - up until the 5pm EDT update on NOAA it was headed toward Panama City (That's me!). We are watching it to see if is going to change so we can plan to evacutate if necessary (Hopefully not!)

My DD & her friend Kristen are on their way down to the World for the weekend and are staying at her parents house in Winterhaven. So if we have to, we will go there. (Can we say "Impromptu trip to Disney?") ;) ;)
