I think there was a lot going on in their marrigae that no one will ever know. I remember after Suri was born Katie was in pictures looking miserable. He seems like a controlling person, which seemed to work in his career, but not in his marriages.

I don't know if it is because they are followed by the paparazzi everywhere, but Suri seems like she is miserable! She hardly ever smiles and never seems to be happy in any of the pics that are posted. Even before the divorce. I also noticed she is carried around a lot. I really hope I'm wrong, but she just seems an unhappy child.

I believe the youngest is his bio child (through artificial means) but I don't think Paris and his eldest son are his bio children.

If you are TC and Katie Holmes it could indeed happen very, very fast...in as little as 60 days. And, since Katie was young with no known fertility issues, they had a high likelihood of success. I think you are overestimating how long it takes. I have many friends who had success very quickly (of course, I also know many for whom the process took years....but in those cases, it was a much more complicated infertility diagnosis).

Of course anyone with great wealth/power/connections can make this happen much faster than the average joe. However they practically would have had to agree to go this course on their 1st date for Suri to have been conceived this way.

that is kinda what I was eluding to when I posted that I think she will be a handful.....I know the kid must have happy moments, but man, she is always making a nasty face. I can't blame her, perhaps she really, REALLY dislikes the paps..attention etc...but I see pic's of say, Jennifer Garners girls..and they appear far more cheerful and happy...again, only seeing what gets posted..but basically, comparing apples to apples of photos that get published....


ETA: Ironically ABC News is doing a story right now on celebrity kids...(Sage Stalones death is the main story line)anyway, they have brought up Suri Cruise a lot and how difficult it is to be the child of celebrity, the competition, need to be as successful, papparazzi, etc.~again, if Katie/Tom KNEW this was going to be ending on a specific date...agreement, whatever..and they knowingly brought a child in? what irresponsibility.

Now back to the regular thread:

1. I've thought from the beginning Suri looked like Chris Klein;
2. Suri was a rather large 7 month old at the wedding.
3. Nicole Kidman miscarried right after TC filed for divorce. Back then the assumption wnas that the baby wasn't a Cruise.

Am I the only one that remembers not seeing either of his older kids until they were Toddlers?

Katie has banned all designer clothes, heels and lipstick. She said that was all Tom and she thinks it is not an age appropriate look for a 6 year old.

The best thing is that she has been enrolled in school. She will be able to interact with kids her age instead of just her parents and bodyguards. Maybe even have some friends.

Except she's apparently enrolled at Sacred Heart, heh. That's not going to help the attitude on that kid. I thought she was a cute baby but not a particulary attractive kid. I mean she's normal, I'm not suggesting she's ugly, but I don't think she's beautiful. I think the whole 'Katie wants X, Y, etc.,' is just as much spin as everything else. She signed the contract, she knew the deal.

I have no idea what is up with the custody thing but someone mentioned Connor and Isabella - they were significantly older than Suri is now when their parents divorced and I think that had a lot to do with the custody issues. Nicole said it was their choice to stay with Cruise so much, though who knows when those decisions were made and how deep they were into the church by then.

If any of those kids are biologically related to Michael Jackson, I'm Prince Harry.

I've noticed that too. She was home schooled. I've often wondered with all the traveling they do, just what she has for friends. Probably just church friends.

And I've noticed she's been carried a lot too. I didn't know if it was parents way of protecting her in crowds. You don't see other parents doing that when cameras are around, but Suri is probably photographed more than any other kid.

She's usually looking very unhappy. Thought she was going thru a phase, but its been lasting for YEARS now.

I don't even remember what compelled me to look him up..I was watching Hollywood Treasures and I was thinking how he and Mackenzie don't look much a like so I looked him up and had no idea there was all that "controversy" around his parentage..apparently to add to the controversy when Patty started dating Desi Arnaz Jr he was 17 and she was 23 and Lucille Ball very vocally objected to it all! Crazy stuff and goes to show that crazy stuff in regards to who is the father of who is nothing new

Lucy almost had a freaking stroke over those two dating and she was loud about it. Back then, you DID NOT get pregnant before marriage if you wanted to keep your reputation. Lucy did not want her underage son dating an older woman, period. She REALLY was afraid Patty Duke would get pregnant and ruin everyone's good name, plus her son would be a dad by 18.

Patty and DA Jr. would date, break up, date break up, rinse, repeat. At some point, she got pregnant. Tongues wagged and lots of people pointed fingers at DA Jr., but he always said he was not the father. Patty Duke also "dated" John Astin about the time the baby was conceived. Through the years, she said Astin was the father and he did adopt Sean. I think she threw in a quickie/didn't last long marriage to the actual father shortly after she figured out she was pregnant, but it was so short no one remembers it.

Patty Duke was having serious mental health issues during that time period and sleeping with at least those 3 men. I don't think she really knew which of them was the father. John Astin stepped up. As a mother, I can sympathize with Lucy. Had I seen Patty Duke going after my 17 y.o., I would have croaked. She was a train wreck back then.

I think Suri does look like Tom. Whether or not she is his bio child, they fit together well.

Years ago- when he was married to Nicole, and had adopted their oldest child, I was going through fertility treatments. A friend was as well, at Cedars-Sinai. She said at the time that she *heard* there that Tom had been there for fertility treatment, and had close to a zero sperm count. The thing is, even with a very low sperm count you can still conceive. Remember that Nicole was 3 months pregnant, and she miscarried shortly after she and Tom split. I always figured that he didn't believe that he could possibly have gotten her pregnant, and that she was running around, and that's why he left her. Hence all the bitterness there, and the very sudden divorce. She, however, always maintained that baby was his. I believe her, I don't see her cheating on him. There was a Vanity Fair article as well where Nicole is quoted as saying that she had 2 miscarriages with Tom- one early on in their marriage. Perhaps that was an IVF? She was quoted as saying after that they moved on to adoption.

Which brings me to Katie...either he really did get lucky, and knock her up (and believe it this time, since now Nicole's story is starting to seem plausible)...or maybe Katie WAS already pregnant, and tricked him in the beginning about it being his? If IRC he announced it right away- and now was stuck with his story. He would have looked like a couch-jumping fool.

Oh I can imagine Lucy would go nuts. I had absolutely no idea any of this went down (before my time ) or that he was 17 and Patty 23. You are right Patty had the on/off again thing with Desi, had the quickie marriage to the guy that is the bio dad and dated John Astin (who was married to someone else at that time) all around the time when Sean was conceived..hence the reason I don't think they lied to Sean as I don't think Patty had a clue who the bio dad was but Sean grew up assuming it was Desi until he did the DNA testing. Patty was a mess in regards to her mental health at that time.

They say that the first child always favors the mother. And around here it's true.

DS (#1) looks like me. DS (#2) is a good mix but mainly his dad. DD (#3) is the spitting image of my mom and DD (#4) looks just like her dad.

The one thing of mine that they all got was my cheekbones and chin. And my nose helped soften the blow of their dads

My brother (1st child) is the spitting image of my father.

me (2nd child)....kind of a cross between the 2 parents, although more toward my father.

Don't forget, Liv Tyler grew up thinking Todd Rundgren was her dad, not Steven Tyler.

I laways wondered about, especially since, as far as I can remember, her name was always Liv TYLER, not Liv Rundgren.
