WOW - I can't believe that it has been almost two years since I used to post on this board.

My life has been through many many transitions. I restarted (again for the umpteen time) my trying to get healthy (translation lose weight).

Well on 2/19/06 - I started all over again. Thus far, I have cut down my eating and am taking m y vitamins. I have been doing extremely well. but I know that I need support.

I have a new plan and want to keep myself focused by journaling.

I plan to sign up for curves when I get home (I am traveling for business).

Here are my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)

3. Go to Curves

4. Do 50 crunches

5. Post in my online journal.

6. Take my vitamins.

Day Nine (Yesterday)

Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
Successful - Broiled chicken breast and then Caesar salad

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)

I did not count the ounces, but I am confident that I drank all of my fluids. Probably more.

3. Go to Curves

Do not start for another day

4. Do 50 crunches

55 crunches

5. Post in my online journal.

Did not have time - traveling

6. Take my vitamins.

Yes
 
Day Eleven​

Here is how I did with my goals:

Definately

Yes - Joined and then did three cycles

4. Do 50 crunches

Can I ask why you are only eating twice a day? That doesn't seem healthy! It just doesn't seem to follow what a lifestyle, healthy eating pattern should be.
 
Yes - I had vertical band surgery in 2001. My Dr. recommends that you only take in calories twice a day.
 
I am, feeling frustrated. It does seem like the weight is coming off. I know that it is going to be hard, but I really need to see results. I also hate my lower stomach. I don't think I will ever get it in shape




Day Twelve​

Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
Unsuccessful - Two salads, slimfast drink and soup in the evening

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately

3. Go to Curves
Yes - Did three cycles

4. Do 50 crunches
Yes 75

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes

6. Take my vitamins.

Day Thirteen​

It was a frustrating day. I really messed up in the evening. Ate popcorn when out with my daughter and then bought a small (25 cent) page of Cheetos. I also ate a few of her chips. I really don’t know why. It will be a better day!!!

Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
Terrible – Don’t even want to write about it popcorn, cheetos

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately

3. Go to Curves
Yes - Did three cycles

4. Do 50 crunches

Hi Kathy....you are doing good. It's so hard to be strict 100% of the time, but you are aware of what to do.

I love your goals & that you fill them in each day. I think that's a great tool to help you stay on track!

Day Fourteen​

3. Go to Curves
Since Curves was not open, I went rollerskating with mydaughter. I actually skated for 2 hours. I am sure I am going to feel it tomorrow. I am going to try and skate every Sunday night.

4. Do 50 crunches
75 plus 35 leg scissors

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes

6. Take my vitamins.
Yes

7. Read my dieter’s devotion.
Yes - I really enjoy the journal. It sures two purposes. The first is to help keep me focused on being health. The second is growing my spiritual self.
 
Day Fifteen​

Another fairly good day. I have had an extremely stressful day!!! If it could go wrong, it did. So how my the Grace of God, I maintained my focus.

Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
Excellent - healthy salad, and a few(3) baked fish sticks.

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately- never a problem

3. Go to Curves
I went to Curves twice today. The first time, I could only do two cycles - about 25 minutes. Then I went back so I could do another cycle. (I had a meeting at work). I ended up doing three more cycles.

4. Do 50 crunches
75 plus 30 leg scissors - I might do a few more before bed.

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes - always

6. Take my vitamins.
Yes

7. Read my dieter’s devotion.
Yes - I even went back into my Bible and read verses before and after. I know that it will take my faith to get me through.
 
Kathy, you're doing great. You are really getting a LOT of exercise in!

I want to tell you how much I admire your faith, and that you're working on your spiritual self, as well as your physical self. You have inspired me to do the same. So, thank you!
 
Day Sixteen

Another fairly good day. I have had an extremely stressful day again. No one to babysit my daughter. Had to run back and forth between her activities and my class. Relationship issues :furious:

Thankfully, I have really supportive friends.

Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
OK - healthy salad, and a few(3) baked fish sticks.

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately- never a problem

3. Go to Curves
I went to Curves three cycles.

4. Do 50 crunches
75 plus 25 leg scissors

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes - always

6. Take my vitamins.
No - only once and I am not sure why???

7. Read my dieter’s devotion.
Yes - I even went back into my Bible and read verses before and after. The topic was confidence and I sure did need that.
 
Day Seventeen

Today was pretty good. I was busy, so that kept me distracted from food. In addition to my Curves, I tanned again and had my nails done. I was also happy to see my "new friend." Our schedules are not very compatible. It was nice to see him tonight.


Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
Fairly good. I had a side salad for lunch and then a few small pieces of buffalo chicken for dinner.

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately- never a problem

3. Go to Curves
I went to Curves four cycles.

4. Do 50 crunches
Not yet, hopefully when I go upstairs to bed.

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes - always

6. Take my vitamins.
Yes, Yes, Yes

7. Read my dieter’s devotion.
Yes - it really helps to keep me motivated.
 
Day Nineteen

Yesterday was pretty good. Nothing special to report.
I changed my number of days. I am not sure how I started to track, but I know that I started eating healthy on February 19. I started exercising on March 1.

Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
Fairly good. Iactually had three salads.

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately- never a problem

3. Go to Curves
I went to Curves four cycles.

4. Do 50 crunches
No, I was really tired when I got home.

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes - always

6. Take my vitamins.
Yes, Yes, Yes

7. Read my dieter’s devotion.
Yes - but today's didn't seem to speak to me as much as usual.
 
Day Twenty

Not a good day - TOM and ate chips and popcorn!! Did see DH (who I am separated from) for his bday. DD (8) and I spent the day with him. He did make positive comments about my losing weight, working out and tanning.

Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
NO!! Ate chips and popcorn.

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately- never a problem

3. Go to Curves
I went to Curves three cycles.

4. Do 50 crunches
Yes, 85 crunches, 25 reverse crunches and 30 leg scissors.

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes - always

6. Take my vitamins.
Yes, Yes, Yes

7. Read my dieter’s devotion.
No - I will read both days tomorrow.
 
Day Twenty-one

Better day - went roller skating with my daughter for 3 hours, actually skated about 2 1/2.

Here is how I did with my goals:

1. Take in calories twice a day. (This is prescribed by my Dr.)
Yes.

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately- never a problem

3. Go to Curves
Curves closed on Sunday - went roller skating.

4. Do 50 crunches
Yes, 100 crunches, 35reverse crunches and 35 leg scissors.

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes - always

6. Take my vitamins.
Only once

7. Read my dieter’s devotion.
Yes.
 
Day Twenty-two

Better day - went roller skating with my daughter for 3 hours, actually skated about 2.

No - ate some chips that DD had in the house. Those darn chips - I just can't resist.

2. Drink 3 liters of liquid. (Right now, I am drinking diet green tea)
Definately- never a problem

3. Go to Curves
Went to Curves - four cycles.

4. Do 50 crunches
no.

5. Post in my online journal.
Yes - always

6. Take my vitamins.
Only once

7. Read my dieter’s devotion.
Yes.

You are really doing great in keeping up you motivation and your working out and your food. Roller skating??? I would fall flat on my head if I tried that!!!!! So bravo to you for being able to do that. Keep up the good work!!!!
