Vera Bradley crossbody vs Kate Spade crossbody?

I usually use a VB crossbody but recently have been looking into buying a KS crossbody purse for my general everyday purse and was just wondering if others have used a KS in the parks and how you liked it? Like was it comforable for all day every day use at Disney?

I have a KS bag for an everyday bag and I would do the VB. I feel like I can get more in a VB bag (just more accommodating) and the KS is just not as casual. Hard to explain but the CB is more comfy for all day wear. I do love my KS bag and have used a large KS tote for touring around Spain but the VB has been my go-to park bag for many years. Now I use a small Kipling backpack or Lululemon hip bag.

I only use fabric bags in the parks - Vera Bradley, LeSportsac, etc. They are lightweight and can hold a ton of stuff (easy to pack as well as I can fold them flat). Anything made of a harder material - leather or leather-like - or anything with a lot of metal hardware is far too heavy for me. I am usually able to keep my crossbody bags on me even on roller coasters, so they are not as easy to lose as well.

Agree with the VB, much lighter and it can be washed if it gets dirty.

The Kate Spade bags are cute cute cute and I love them, but not as user friendly in the parks. I have two and I always kind of regret my choice if I have a long park day with them. The are more stiff, and harder to get things in and out of if that makes sense. I always get zipper burn pulling my hands out of them lol. They're perfect for a dinner out or a short outing! The Vera Bradley bags are definitely more comfortable and tend to fit more! Great for long park days~ :)

Okay that's game changer for me getting one at all then because I get bad zipper burn when I use my Loungefly backpacks in daily life so I don't want a purse that I'd be using daily to do that.
I thought I was the only one that happened to!

I feel seen and heard lol
I think if the purse style is open/large enough that it's not a problem with (I have others I love) but the Disney ones are definitely designed with a slim opening width if that makes sense. :flower3:

When I was planning for our trip in 2005 I saw on one of the forums the Disney dreaming style of purses by Vera Bradley and I fell in love with it, and I bought the only one that I could afford, which was a Crossbody. And I used it for 10 years. I ended up having to replace it once and had to buy from eBay. Since then, I've had four of them. For this trip in March, I decided to get the Vera Bradley backpack in Disney dreaming. I love this style! And I love that I'll be able to put my Crossbody bag right in the backpack!

It looks like it's in really good condition. They had a couple of other ones listed, but they looked sort of abused. I would rather be the one to do the abusing lol.

I’ve done both, of the two the VB worked better for me but I found the strap uncomfortable when bag loaded.

Can’t bring myself to use my D&B bags as they tend to take a bit of a beating with rain etc in the parks

I finally gave in and bought a loungefly mini backpack a few years ago. Now I have them for all the seasons of my trips and more lol
