Kate Gosselin & Paula Deen doing a talk show together??!! Seems like an odd couple!

i can't fathom WHY paula deen, who is so vivacious and personable, would want to share a stage with kate gosselin. i would've watched paula, but paula and kate...count me out.

If that is the case- no high profile celebrity should be in the spotlight before during or after a nasty divorce?

And you (or I) have NO IDEA how they are set financially. Most likely there is a mortgage on that house and it is probably significant. She can't make ends meet checking out groceries I'm sure- or a nurses salary for that matter. Not to mention paying for the help to watch the kids. With just one parent available most of the time- they will need help and help that they trust.

Agreed--if the Gosselin family has built a "budget" (as a financial tool, not meaning that they are thrifty!) around a salary of $1,000,000 for example...a salary of $45,000 as a nurse isn't going to cut it.

As much as I hate how someone turns 15 minutes of fame for ordinary life into a career (just my jealousy talking!)--if they can do it, that's capitalism, the entertainment world and the American way.

I do find Kate to be an entertaining individual when she's not on her high horse--when she's on her high horse she gets a bit militant and stressful looking.

Folks want HER to work--not the children, so if she gets a talk show gig, I don't get why that's a bad thing just b/c it isn't a regular blue collar job.

Am I going to watch? Likely not as my time for talk show days are long past me at this point. But I'm not going to judge a show that hasn't even aired, yet.
