I was going to get a pair of teva sandals for my hols in July but they are very expensive. I know I could get a pair out there but would like to wear them in a little. I have found some in blacks and millets that look like teva...called karrimor. better price £35. Has anyone tried these....I have searched this site but no one has mentioned them.
Last year in May I wore trainers but thought in July it would be more comfortable and cooler with sandals...
Anybody have any advise....
Also if I decide to get teva..does anyone know a shop in orlando I could go straight to instead of having to trawl round as i would probably do this on day 1 which would infuriate the kids...
Many thanks...

Lisa,

As a bit of an outdoor kit freak i thought i would try and help on this. Do you have the karrimor sandal name ? I have access to a fair few reviews on things like these. Teva are very good but it is hard to justify the high price tag unless you really intend to batter them more than an annual holiday, but they will last. I am going to buy a pair of merrells that are intended for both hill walking and holiday usage which are called Chameleon web but these are probably too heavy for yourself. Karrimor are technicaly no more as they went bankrupt about 2 years ago which was very upsetting as i got 25%of everything at their factory shops. They are owned by the same group as Lonsdale i believe so i would be worried about the reduction in quality of their products since. The outdoors magic site has links to alot of shops that do these who can offer very good expert advice and most of the outdoor shops take great pride in getting things right for you. Let me know the name of the Sandal and i will take a look at the reviews. :thumbsup2

thanks cochise that would be a great help...next time i go into town i will check the name out and send you a message...Lisa

Lisa,

Do you recognise anything on THIS page?

The havana 2 appears to be in the price range you suggested it was.

Also there are other brands on THIS page

Lisa,

I don't know much about the cost of shipping things from the US to UK, but you can get Teva sandals for approx 22 pounds (sorry, don't have the pounds sign on my 'puter), at Dick's Sporting Goods (http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/f...66040&categoryId=1251540&page=1&pageBucket=0).

Luck,

Bill
