Thanks for the reminder Jeanne of who sent the cute cuffs. I couldn't remember whether it was your sister or SIL. Karlyn just loves them. She really won't take them off except to wash her hands! Luke will be getting a wonderful girl in Tessa. Not only can she draw but she is so thoughtful to send the pictures to the family. But then Luke is a great catch too and they can always come to my house for treats 'cause he know where the fridge is!

Packages came for the girls from Sally yesterday. They were so excited. Unfortunately, chaos reigned at my house yesterday evening and so I wasn't able to post pictures. My husband told me it was no different than any other day at our house but it was just a little wild, even for me. Will do it after work today. Thanks Sally and Kirsta for sharing the darling skirts and shirts, the cards, the games and the pictures of Kirsta from your trip last year. She is such a cutie! The waists are a little bit big but I think it will be an easy fix! I am thinking a little elastic across the back waistband should just do the trick nicely.

We were able to find the beds the girls wanted. They were not happy that we left the store without them. We did not want to but them and then have to move them again in 1 week when we finnally move. I would love to be able to sew like you do. Maybe if I start to practice now. I might be able to sew with the disboutiquers next year.

Glad they came. I swear the Minnie outfit got Kirsta picked for the roping show. I knew they would be a bit big in the waist. Elastic would work great, or maybe just a tuck? Glad the girls liked them. Kirsta usually gets upset when I give "her stuff" away. But she was happy to see someone else being able to use them.

Denise, all of the outfits are just awesome!! I LOVE the BigGive outfits, and I also adore your Hawaiian print!!! How cute y'all will look. Now after having been there, I think you will really stand out. I loved the day we wore our Blue shirts because it was easier to see each other! I LOVE the Minnie outfit, too. I think I'm partial to Minnie. And that Pluto!! My boys need one of those!! I wish I could applique.... Thank you for posting pics! They are great!!!

I have managed to find myself 5 minutes today to post some pictures of the girls with the things Sally sent. Karlyn and Gabby get so excited when Grandma calls to saw they have received a package.

I hardly had time to get the camera before they had the boxes open.

Sally sent the girls each a card wishing them a great vacation. Gabby is the reader in the family.

The girls were luck enough to receive some of Kirsta's big give skirts that she wore last year. A little altering and they fit like a glove.

The package had pictures from Kirsta wearing the skirts on her trip. The girls thought that it was very cool that their new skirts had been to Disney World already. Thanks again Sally for spreading the pixie dust one more time.

PRECIOUS new outfits!! I can't wait to see pics of everyone in Disney! And Denise, I just saw the dresses you and your daughters made for ibdamama's girls for their trip. That was so very sweet of you, and I love them!! How long would it take me to learn to make something simple? I would love to pay it forward like you and your daughters are doing (although I realize it would take me a while to make something worthy of giving to someone else). Lance has even said he'd be interested in making scrapbooks for other kids like the ones Clutterbug made for our kids. Anyway, you are so kindhearted, and you will just fit right in with those DISboutiquers after you aren't banned anymore. I have to say how much fun it's been to be able to get back on their thread and see all their amazing creations again!

Thanks so much for your kind words. It has been so much fun. I did have a little scare last night though. With one dress left to finish a piece fell off my sewing machine. Luckily, I found a repair shop first thing this morning and I was back to finish it off in no time. Those were really simple dresses and didn't really require much sewing skill. I knew I wouldn't have time for anything too complicated. Check your community education catalogs. Around here they usually come out the first part of September and again in January. That is a great place to take a sewing class. they are usually taught by the High School or Jr High Home Ec teachers. I am going to teach my daughter Anne how to sew. She has a 3 yr old daughter who is growing really fast and always needs new church dresses. I think she will be able to make one of those dresses with some help.

Lots happening in the last few days. We received a package from the Greenawalts with lots of fun things.

If you look closely at the TV you will see that Grandma has her set tuned to the Disney Channel!

The kids were so excited. Nothing better than fun activities. Lindsey had to hurry and hide some of the things so that they would still have them for the trip.
Thank you so much Amber and your cute family. This will really help so much on that really long plane ride from Salt Lake to Orlando. Gabby is already a little concerned that she will get airsick and I keep telling her that she will be so busy she won't even know when we take off. At least that's what I tell myself when I fly!

Denise , I can't believe you are at the one month mark! It will go fast.T elaberate a little more on your questions, I saw many families at the village that had extended family with them.You can hang out there with no issues.You will all be very welcome there any time.As for the camera memeory cards I would bring a few at least.I brought one and had them download the card for me.I did however find that sometimes the person who did that was not always available and sometimes it takes a little while for them to do.It is nice to have a backup or two in case you can't get to it that day.You should have no problem doing it every few days or so.They give you a disk with them.Don't freak out if you get home and can't open it up though.It took me a whole day to figure it out! Also they do have some video cameras you can borrow although they have a limited amount.We borrowed one but Paul forgot to pick up the disks later.I have to call and see if they still have them.Love all the new outfits!

Okay, the party was Saturday and we really have tried to get the pictures posted but have had a few more urgent things in the last few days. My cute MIL has come to visit for a week, Lindsey and her family closed on their house and they have had to do major cleaning, painting, hauling away junk so they can move in, we also have 4 grandkids with birthdays this week and I needed to get a little package in the mail to ibdamama's little girls before their wish trip on Friday. Oh and I do have a "real" job that I have to do. Lindsey has loaded the pics onto our photobucket account and so after work today I will edit and post them! I promise (I need a fingers crossed smilie to insert here)

On Saturday, August 9th, Karlyn officially had her wish party. We are very lucky in Salt Lake to have a beautiful Make A Wish building where the wish children come to make their wish.
Karlyn was given a key to a very special room where she would make her wish.

The key opened the door to the wishing room.

Inside the room was a beautiful princess who would help Karlyn send her wish to the wish wizard.

After she made her wish, she needed to make her own personal star to hang in the foyer of the MAW building with the stars of all the other children who have had their wishes granted there.

Then Karlyn and the princess raised her star high up to the ceiling where it will hang forever. Of course we all cried because they played the song "When You Wish Upon A Star"

It is the one with the polka dots of course. Notice she is wearing her Minnie Dress that Jeanne (JHam) made for the Big Give for her.

After that, we all had cake and ice cream.

Karlyn loved her special princess so much. She was wonderful and so sweet to Karlyn.

Karlyn's wish granters were so terrific and they surprised her with lots of fun things for her trip including her very own tinkerbelle rolling suitcase.

It was a wonderful day. There were lots of people at the party and great grandma even came from Idaho for this grand celebration. All the cousins had a great time too. We are grateful to the wish granters, Make A Wish and Karlyn's princess for making the day perfect.

We missed you but totally understand what happened. You are welcome to stop at the MAW house any time on week days and they will let you take a little tour. It is one of those places where they have kleenex boxes everywhere and you really need them!

Grandpa said that the only thing that would have made it more teary was if they had played the Jiminy Cricket version. The wishing room was amazing. When the child makes their wish, the room changes colors several times and the fountain changes too.
