Can we just buy microphones without buying a stereo box?

Of course, we want the sound of the singing...would it automatically connect to our blue tube speakers?

Sorry, just know very little about technology!

Thank you.

Here you go... https://www.howtokaraoke.com/everything-you-need-for-a-karaoke-setup/

Yes, you need more than "just microphones". You need something to play the music. If you want a screen with the words (instead of just having a sheet of paper), you'll need to get that.

I remember when karaoke machines were all the rage and almost everyone you would see had karaoke machines to entertain at New Year's Eve parties and weddings and birthday parties. I LOVE to sing and have a marvelous singing voice and my dad and I would sing along with the radio but when I grew up we never had a karaoke machine but I always thought that they were cool because the lyrics would appear on your TV screen. But there used to be karaoke machines that originally came with cassettes and later cds called The Singing Machine and the sound was amazing and The Singing Machine was a huge seller for it's time and it continues to be a huge seller today and you can find any Singing Machine tapes in any genre even Disney songs too. Ronco started the karaoke trend when they debuted the classic Mr. Microphone in the 70's/80's and you probably remember seeing the commercial for Mr. Microphone a lot as a teenager? But if you want a really cool karaoke machine Hasbro debuted the E-kara karaoke machine in 2001 and it was reasonably priced and had cartridges with many of the big hits and you could even sing The Beatles songs too and the E-kara was originally a monster hit in Japan. If you can find one at a thrift shop with all the parts you should try it for yourself because it's a really fun karaoke machine and you could also buy a headset microphone called a duet microphone so you could perform a duet with a best friend. If you have the chance look up Hasbro E-kara on Youtube and you'll see what I mean
