Doesn't she happen to have a song/video out collaborating w/ Kanye right now?

My take on her expression wasn't shock. I think she knew she was coming out smelling like a rose today, because I believe this is an event where they know the results going in.

Let's do a quick tally:

Kanye -- everybody's talking about him today, he has "apologized", oh, and everybody's talking about him today.

Beyonce -- She comes out looking like a class act.

VMA's -- everybody's talking about the VMA's today.

Yep, and Taylor -- the victim. And the saddest part is that her very words, just before being interrupted, were something like "I sing country music, so thank you for honoring me with a VMA." It just felt akin to the ugly girl being crowned prom queen just so someone can use her.

(btw, that's an analogy, Taylor isn't an "ugly girl" to be sure )

Ugggh Kayne. He'll do anything to get people talking about him. Totally hyping himself. He just needed to wait for the right mark and Taylor Swift was perfect.

Young 19, a bit nieve, not at all someone his fans would care about.

Beyonce looked flattered. She had that "oh Kayne, you so crazy" vibe going on.

It was brilliant PR for her to bring Taylor back on. Beyonce can get quite the diva reputation so it was a win win for her.

Was she up for the Single Ladies video? I thought it was stupid.

This article sums up Kanye's past disses and rants. I do like some of his music but I find it hard to respect him a person. I feel the same way about LeAnn Rimes. Back in 2006 after the CMA controversy over Faith Hill yelling "what" on camera after Carrie Underwood won for best female vocalist. Faith has always claimed that she was joking or something. LeAnn went on her website and said that she agreed with Faith Hill and she thought Carrie didn't deserve win because she was new to the mainstream media. I thought LeAnn came off as a spoiled brat. LeAnn pretty much had instant success when burst onto country music at age 13. LeAnn started performing at age 6 publicly. Carrie tried two or three times to get record deals in Nashvile prior to American Idol. She started perfoming publicly at age 10. The main reason she went to college is because she didn't think she could make music a permanent career. Carrie spent at least 12 performing and trying to make a career in the music business. She lived the life of a poor college student a life LeAnn never lived. You can say LeAnn didn't know about Carrie's past but for her to say that she thought Faith Hill was justified in her actions without knowing how Faith felt is classless.

Had some wacky music fan been there, stormed the stage and grabbed the mike with a rant they would have tackled him and escorted him out. I think they should have done the same. He's nuts. And people allow him to be the way he is. I wish there were consequences for his actions.

Kanye West is a no-class piece of garbage (and that's cleaning it up for the DIS.) And I agree that Beyonce looked flattered, not really shocked but I think sometimes our emotions get the best of us especially when we really are in shock. I seem to laugh when I get really nervous or feel really bad about something. I don't know what causes it (crossed wires) but I do know there are other people like that as well.

I haven't watched the VMA's in years. I used to enjoy the crazy, unpredictable artists. The last one I remember watching was the one in which Tim Commerford of RATM climbed the scaffolding.

Kanye's stunt was not entertaining and completely unnecessary. I was mortified for that poor girl.

Did she have anything more to say? The clips I've seen only show her shocked face and don't show what happened after. WHAT DID SHE DO?

Well that's true... but I wouldn't diminish the deaths and destroyed lives of millions by comparing Hilter actions to that of one pop star insulting another.

The fact is Kanye wanted publicity... he got it. And every single person sitting there calling him names, saying he is classless, comparing him to the most evil people in the history of the world, etc, etc is simply giving him exactly what he wants. The man is on every tweet, newspaper, every news website, every gossip rag, and talk show today... which is what he wanted.
