It's official! Everything is done and paid for! Now I get to have a little more fun in finishing touches
I'm an etsy-aholic, so I've been scouring their wedding pages for unique items that will make for great hand me downs to my kids. I know there is a big fad for bouquet charms, and this seems a great way to bring to mind all the family and friends who won't be joining us. So I'm having small charms made from photos of my mom, sister, grandma, papa, and my two dogs. (Today, my brother in law is taking our family dog Teddy to be put to sleep. So I feel I need to include him since he's been a good friend for the past 15 years, even though I haven't gotten a chance to see him for a long time.) I love the idea that after the ceremony, I can put all these charms on a bracelet and save them to hand down.
I also ordered a bouquet charm with our names and wedding date stamped on it, and some 'i do' shoe stickers be my 'something blue' in the ceremony.
They also have adorable little felted bluebirds to put in your bouquet, so I may fall victim to those too!
I have my something borrowed (my Mom's Tiffany pearl necklace that my sister and I bought her in Florence, and that my sister wore to her wedding as well.)
I have something new (a pearl bracelet that my DF bought me to match my mother's necklace)
So now, I am just lacking something old... and my wheels are a turning.
Now, I still have flutes to have custom made, once I decide on what exactly to put on them. I'm still waiting to hear back from Arribas Bros. to see if they will etch Robin Hood and Maid Marian on them if I do my own designs. And I'm well into creating my magnets for our cabin door. I got a long and narrow dry erase board for messages, but I still have to start our themed FE. The long weekend will be great for that!
I also ordered a Stitch lanyard from Tokyo Disney and a little Stitch coin purse to hang on the end to keep my cards and things on the cruise. I love the Japanese style Stitch.
