We love this ride and are prepared to get fully drenched. However, in all of our previous trips, one adult stayed off the ride and held our electronics and backpack full of clothes to get changed into dry stuff after the ride.

This time I don't have an extra adult, so I guess I'll need to use the lockers.

1) Where are the lockers?
2) How much do they cost and where do you pay?
3)Do you have the locker all day or is it pay everytime you open it?

4) It sounds like a giant PITA. Our phones have lifeproof cases. Water proof (not resistant) If I put the camera in a ziploc, use a water resistant backpack in a plastic bag...does this sound like it would work?

Maybe I should just suck it up and skip the ride.

Basically 20 feet left of the front of the queue, they are free for a few hours as i recall, and quite handy. Easier than waterproofing your stuff and bringing with you.

The lockers are free.
The signs say for 1 hour but it took us more than an hour to ride the ride once and there was no problem.
There is a computer screen that you put info in to get your locker assignment.
They are digital.

1. To the left of the entrance of KRR.

2. They're free for the first two hours, then $10 per hour. (They only want you to use them while riding KRR.)

You can see what they look like (as well as what the receipt looks like) in this post from easyWDW:

(The article is from three years ago, so a lot of the information is out of date, but not the info on the lockers.)

Both work.

Personally, we find it pretty easy to carry a large ziploc bag for the day, and I'm a minimalist when it comes to carrying stuff all day.
I use the large Ziploc bags to pack toiletries, so it is no big deal to fold one into a pocket. I have used gallon and two gallon sized ones on trips.

Now at US, we do use the lockers for wet rides. Lockers are also entirely doable.

What often makes the difference for us, is the style of footwear we have. DO NOT wear denim on Kali. Water tolerant sandals are good.

Thanks for your replies.

LOL! That would be a nightmare. Don't wear white linen either.

I think we plan to bring dollar store or old cheap flip flops to change into and then just chuck them afterwards.

Reading that article gave me a sad when I read 'then gather FPs for KRR.'

We bring a giant ziplock, put the wallets and cameras in it and place it in the backpack and into the middle thing with the cover on the ride. We switch into our sandals and keep our feet on the foot rest. Seems to work well, haven't had any damage. You could also use a poncho over the backpack.

We wear athletic type clothing that dries quickly so we don't bother with extra clothes. We take flip flops/Tevas and just change into those for the ride and leave everything else in the locker. I could've sworn they were free for more than 2 hours, but I could be wrong. I knew we would only use it for a few minutes so I didn't pay that much attention!

They removed the covers on the storage area in the middle of the rafts.

Personally, I just take my small over the shoulder fabric bag that has my phone and everything else in it, wear it on the ride and tuck it under the seat belt. Nothing gets damaged. My husband will wear sandals that day since he doesn't like sloshing but has a canvas day bag he carries with an extra T shirt and, um, something else in it in case his shorts get wet *whistles*. He just takes that on the ride and places it at his feet. If he feels he needs to change "things" after the ride, they are fine in the bag.

I wouldn't skip the ride just because you will need lockers. Last trip, I thought we could take bags on the ride so checked out the lockers and there were plenty available but not necessary for us.
