Do you get any less wet during the cold winter months then you do during the summer?

You get just as wet. Wear your poncho and keep your feet on the bar at all times.

Actually, you won't get quite as wet, as the elephants that squirt water at you just as you go under the bridge near the end are not operating in the winter time. The only time you really have a chance to get wet is if you are in the wrong seat at the big drop. Just remember to keep your feet up.

When we went on it everyone except MAYBE one person got wet on the big drop. They have propane heaters to dry you off but personally if it were really chilly I wouldn't want to do it.

I've never ridden Kali, but I have done Popeye's and Dudley Do-Rights at IOA in february. (64F out BTW)

I plan on riding Kali come Februay, my strategy includes having a change of clothes and a beach towel waiting either in a locker or with a non-rider.

I was not aware that they offered a heating/drying area, thanks for the tip!

Ideally, if the weather is warm, I will go ride Kali in the morning, then scoot over to Blizzard Beach, which I would really like to see.

Having once had the dubious pleasure to ride in the winter, my advice is "Don't!" unless you are wearing a really good waterproof poncho!

It's fun, but far too short to subsequently have to suffer through many hours of wet clothing when the weather is cool... it definitely made the rest of my day at AK less pleasurable, because the heaters just don't do the trick when it is a heavy jacket and blue jeans that are soaking wet!

The rest of the family just got damp - I felt like I fell into a pool, I was that wet!

We got soaked. It was a rather chilly day in Jan and I agree, those heaters are not very good. We were wearing ponchos but still got wet, our shoes especially. We wouldn't do it again unless we were prepared with extra clothes or if its a hot day.
