As we stopped and got our credentials on Sunday, I talked with @WebmasterPete about the GoPro on my scooter. After seeing his eyes light up when he noticed it, I had a hunch about what he was thinking and just blurted out, "It's Kaht Kam, version 2.0". "Bob was a pioneer", he said. I had previously done a video with a GoPro mounted on one of the bikes from the Bike Barn at Ft. Wilderness, but that trek is shaky and even the best motion stabilizing filters could only do so much. So, not being able to walk this trip it was a perfect opportunity to try it out on the scooter we rented. Pete said they had thought about renting one and doing it themselves, but hadn't gotten around to doing it, or it would take up too much of Ryno's time (he's a busy guy) to not know how the footage would turn out (assuming).

Sorry about the up-nose shots at the beginning, we're still on property, so this is just raw footage making our way to the Boardwalk, starting from The Seas. If anyone's curious, uploading the 4 videos to YouTube over Disney Wi-Fi took around 20 hours.

Very cool, Mike - thanx for sharing. Unique perspectives, for sure!!

Those were awesome!
You went the long way to Boardwalk btw. You could take a left outside the IG

Thought that's what I remembered when I went there from BWV when I stayed there, but since I went to Epcot that (not back) that way, and it was a long time ago, I'm not sure. I've got to hand it to his wife - she was keeping up a great pace and wasn't breathing hard, didn't even look like she was sweating in that terrible heat/humidity!

Loving the videos. Your control on that thing is what everyone should have.

OH on your Dolphin question I've been told it is a dolphin fish (aka mahi-mahi) instead of a dolphin. I will never really understand why the architect/designer decided to make it a dolphinfish instead of a regular dolphin.

Totally agree - mystified why too!

Yeah, we wanted to see the Yacht and Beach Club. That water slide looks cool. Research. ;)

The water slide is actually one reason we stay there. It lets us get in our "water park" want with out having to waste time going to the water parks. Lazy river and water slide is enough for us.

Interesting, thanx. Still weird to me though, and that is some weird story! :)

Same. I get being inspired by the King Neptune dolphins but those don't look like dolphins either but is more forgiving when it is clear they are in a fantasy realm of gods. When it is on top of a building named the Dolphin with nothing else it just looks like a bad sculpture or someone didn't know what a dolphin looks like especially since they were made in modern age.

Lol. The only part of Stormalomg Bay I wish were better is the lazy river. You got to try the one at Cabana Bay over at that "other place"

Oh perhaps for our September trip Cabana Bay will end up being our Universal resort. Haven't picked on yet and a great lazy river would definitely sway the fiance. He would stay in the middle of no where if the hotel was billed as having a great lazy river haha.

It is so awesome

We did a split stay at Poly and CB last August. The two kids preferred Cabana Bay largely due to that lazy river. It is such a cool resort

I might have to check it out someday, since everybody from the Team seems to love it, as well as everybody else I've heard talk about it. Just like I might have to check out Harry Potterville someday. LOL
