Hello everyone.

I purchased a Keurig for my DD. I am going to surprise her with it tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone knows the best place to buy the k-cups. I have seen them everywhere, but don't know where would be the place they would be the least expensive. Also, does anyone know if you can purchase them mixed? My DD likes to try different teas and coffees and I would like to buy some sort of assorted package, so she can see what she likes best before buying a large quantity of just one kind.

Thanks in advance for your knowledge!

My favorite site to order from is www.alpinevalleycoffee.com/ They have sampler packs, great prices and if you can get a little co-op going with co workers or neighbors, you can easily spend over $48 to get the free shipping. It's a site where the more you buy, the more you save. I also love their clearance bin. We have ordered many times and always get the freshest coffee with late expiration dates. Sometimes, k-cups can linger on dept store shelves so make sure you check the expiration date before buying. I hope this helps!

I have found the cheapest place to buy them is in our very large supermarket. It is a Family owned chain that has huge stores and is the cheapest for everything, so check out your large supermarkets especially if they aren't part of a nationwide or large regional chain.

If you have a TJMaxx or Marshalls near you check there. They have had KCups show up pretty regularly for a while now. They are a good price so they tend to go fast and you never know what types will show up. So if you have one of those stores near you, check often.

I have always found that when Herberger's has a sale, it's by far the best deal. I can usually get them for about $8 with the sale and a coupon. If you have one of those or one of their chain stores, it's a good deal.

We get ours from Kohls... I usually combine a 30% off coupon, typically (but not always) a sale, and then the buy $50 get $10 in kohls cash back. These often coincide, so I stock up then!

Bed, Bath & Beyond with the 20% off coupon, or Kohls.com when there's a sale and a 30% off code :thumbsup2 Pay attention to the number of K Cups in the box. Our grocery store is cheaper than a few other places, but the boxes only have 12 and others have more. Make sure you're comparing apples to apples :)

Oh, one more thing....you didn't say, but did you get her the latest Keurig, The Vue? If so, those can ONLY take the special Vue K Cups. Just wanted to be sure you knew that. All other machines are interchangable with the basic K Cups :)

Thank you so much everyone. I bought her the B40. It is not the vue, so I guess I should be able to get the regular k-cups.

Yes! I think you're good to go with the regular K Cups. She's going to LOVE it!! You should give it to her today and tell her what my mom always says. She gives us little presents on Mother's Day because she says without us, she wouldn't be a mother ;)

It's funny that you say this, because I have done this for the last 5-6 years for my kids. I try to give them something from me for Mother's Day. I would give it to her today, but I ordered it online from Kohl's and it is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.:( I was hoping it would show up on Friday, but it did't make it.

I told her that I have something coming for her tomorrow. She IS going to love it. She is a college student. She lives at home and gets up each morning before school to make coffee or tea before she leaves. She uses the big coffee maker and tries to make just small amounts. She has been working so hard in school that DH and I decided to buy her this to make things easier for her morning routine!

So sweet! What a nice reward for her hard work :thumbsup2 Something to make life easier is always nice!! :goodvibes

I buy my K-Cups directly from the Keurig website. They have a huge selection, and you can earn points for future discounts. Sometimes I get an email for an offer like buy 3 boxes, get 1 free. I usually place my order with one of those offers and it holds me over for months.

we order from Shoffee.com and greatcoffee.com

greatcoffee ( i think) gives you free shipping if you order 6 or more boxes. we also use coupon codes to bring the price down. the best part is I can order it at 3pm and get it delivered by 10 am the next morning!

If she likes regular coffee in the morning, buy one of the baskets that are around $15 that you can use loose ground coffee in. My DD loved hers and it really is cost saving. She had the "cups" for when she wanted something special but for morning before class she used the basket with plain coffee.

This is what I have been doing!

:thumbsup2 Kohls has 18 count kcups for $11.99. Use a 30% code and free shipping code (best variety online.) Plus get $10 kohls cash when you spend $50. It's the best price I've been able to find.

Kohls carries a few variety packs but if you just stock up when they have sales you'd be surprised how many varieties you'll end up with!

(BTW, you can usually find someone who knows the 30% off code and free shipping code on the budget board. Just ask if you can't find it.)
