Hi All,
Just thought I would post in here that for next Spring, the room rates for the JW Marriott seem incredible - I got a refundable 5 night stay for 369 per night including all taxes. Cheaper than many of the other Courtyard by, Fairfield by .. etc Marriott brands.

Its refundable, so if by some miracle the onsite hotels become cheaper then I can move.

I booked the Courtyard Theme Park Entrance for around $225/night with my AAA discount for next year! That's a steal for that hotel. It's refundable, too, so I can always cancel if need be.

That's weird. Unless there's some massive conference, you should be able to find other Marriott brand hotels for under 200 even during spring break. But obviously a JW is a huge upgrade from something like the Four Points. I'm sad the JW is a category 7 rather than a category 6 because if I can't use a free night cert there, I'd always look towards something a bit cheaper.

Yes, it's a category 7. I thought it was maybe because its very low occupancy, as I believe it was closed for covid before it truly opened.

Wow, that's cheap. I think I'll go book for spring 2021 now. JWM is my go-to "nice" hotel when I'm traveling, I've been waiting for the Anaheim location to open to give us more up market options vs. the on-site hotels.

Will they have their own private shuttle, or is it going to be the ART line that runs along Katella?

I don't think any properties within the resort district even have the option to run their now shuttles and use anything other than ART even of they wanted to. There are a few like Candy Cane Inn that were grandfathered in when new rules were established but I believe ART is their only option for transportation to the parks.

Darn, you're right. Now that I think about it, I can't recall seeing a hotel specific shuttle in a long long time.

I had a look at Google maps before I booked, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it didn't look much further to the pavilion area between DL and DCA than the Disneyland Hotel.

that sounds about right, the only issues would be a) contending with the security check lines Harbor-side vs DtD-side,which can be much longer and b) dealing with vehicular traffic and crossing Harbor

this is all pre-COVID, though.

The only two that come to mind are the Majestic Garden Inn (used to be the Sheraton Anaheim) and the Candy Cane Inn. There might be one or two more, but I'm not remembering right now.

Hyatt Regency Orange County offers a shuttle but it's not as close as some of the other hotels/motels near Disneyland.

I stayed in the Disneyland Hotel back in 2013, and for the price paid, I honestly would have expected more. Horses for courses though..
