I just received a rate of $110 for local government at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.

This seems like a great rate and the hotel looks incredible. Anyone stay there recently? How long did it take to get to WDW from here. It's just my hubby and I for our 6th anniversary and thought this place looked perfect! Whatcha all think?

**ALSO, do you have to pay the $7.00 parking fee every time you leave the hotel and come back, or is it a one time fee?

I'll be interested in any responses you get. I have a conference next week at the JW, and we're booked at the Ritz-Carlton next door. I think both of these are very new. I'd love to know how they are. I hear the Ritz has double beds instead of queens, so I'm not excited about that.

My Ritz room had a king bed.

This is a really nice complex. I did not go to Disney, but I don't think it would take long. The pools and grounds are great!

I stayed at both the JW and the Ritz a few months ago (also had a king bed in each). You've got an EXCELLENT deal on your room. The resort is stunning and the water area behind the JW feels like your own private water park. If you have a chance take a look at the Ritz Spa. Simply jaw-dropping. The whole resort is one of the most luxurious I've stayed at and I've been to a few.

If I recall correctly, it's only about a 10 minute drive (or so) to Downtown Disney. Not bad at all. I honestly can't remember if you pay the $7 parking fee each time, or if it's a daily thing. I do remember having to use a card to get in and out of the parking area, but I don't know if it charged the rate every time. I don't THINK so, but don't quote me.

Grande Lakes is incredible. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

The $7 is a per day charge so you can go in and out as many times as you want and it stays $7.

You are only about 10-15 minutes from Disney and right down the street from Sea World.

We stayed at the RC in January and visited the JWM both to look around and to eat at Primo one evening. Both hotels and the whole resort are superb and I would be biting off their hand at $110 (we were really pleased to get the RC for $173). It's about a 2 minute drive to Sea World and, as cleo says, around 10 minutes to Downtown Disney (so add on about 5 minutes to any other destination on WDW property).

Do it. I promise you won't be disappointed! :D
