JVC or Sony??

We are in the process of buying a new TV and found a Sony and a JVC for about the same price. The Sony has a zoom feature that the JVC does not have. I would rather have the better brand. Any idea which is better?

I have a Sony in my bedroom and I love it. Great picture, sound, and quality.

Is it HDTV?

No it is standard. Right now we have a 32" in our living room and the color is all crazy. Green in the middle then a right of blue then pink BLAH! We are getting this as a replacement until we can get a 57" for the living room and move this one up to the bedroom. HDTV increases the cost SOOOO much!

We have the Sony 50" HD TV and love it!

DH and I comparison shopped at several stores and Sony's picture was the best of all the models we looked at.

overall Sony is considered a better brand than JVC. I own mostly Sony products and never had a problem with them

I agree! Until HDTV comes down in price, I won't be getting one! They'll probably have something like HDTV15 by the time I get HDTV.

Now I feel better about passing up the HDTV! I kept wondering if I was doing the right thing not getting it. But this one has zoom! Never had that feature before.
