So about a month ago I decided I wanted to host a fundraiser at my school to reaise money for Juvenile Diabetes. Well November is national diabetes month so I decided why not in november. Well the week long fundraiser has just come to an end and it turns out my school raised over $1,000, and there is this alumni from my school that is going to double it, and we are going to give it to the CT chapter of the JDRF. I'm pretty excited about it, and I just wanted to tell all yall.

That is such a nice idea! Many people forget or make fun of alot of health issues and its not funny. Im really happy to hear that someone is actually trying to do something positive in this world.

That's such a great thing to do.
I feel stupid for saying this, but I always thought Diabetes was a lame cause, since its generally not life-threatening.

But my dad was just diagnosed last year, and my doctor thought I had it, too.
So I started to research it, and it's pretty scary.
My dad's case is mild, but some aren't.

I'm probably rambling because I'm tired, but good work. It's a really good cause.

Congratulations! What a great thing to do.

One of my friends has had diabetes since she was really little. She has to test at least 6 times a day and inject herself with insulin. She's been doing it so long that it just seems normal to her, but I still get a little wierded out when she just injects herself right in the middle of a movie theater. XD

HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT?!?!?!?!??!? my father DIED because of diabetes. And you can't always prevent diabetes, my dad had type 1 diabetes(juvenile) and they don't know how that starts, and there IS NO CURE! but i guess most people don't know the severeness of diabetes, and that is part of the reason I did this, to raise awareness in my school community.
