Hello all!

I am a fairly new poster looking for some expert opinions. I "lurk" on the boards frequently and there is a TON of helpful information. My question is this, my husband, DS 8, DD 5 and I are planning to go to Disney the week of September 23-30. I am wondering how the weather is, crowds, etc. My husband and I went for our anniversary in July of 2004 and between the crowds and the heat........ Let's just say that we will try to avoid doing that again!! LOL

Any info would be welcome. Thanks!!

Let me start by saying that I have been to WDW ever month. It is my opinion that June and July are the hottest times to go. I went for my B-day in September in 2002, and loved it. It was not as hot, but it was very humid. However, the crowds were very low, and we got an excellent rate on the room. We started out in Port Orleans, and then changed to AKL in a savanna room for $155 a night (Great rate).

Good luck with your choice. But I can tell you that I would go back in September, and I will NEVER go back in June!

We've done end of September, end of October, end of May, mid August and late August. August was miserable and crowded. End of September was still plenty warm but crowds were manageable. End of Ocober crowds were even lower and there were a few evenings I really needed my lightweight jacket.

You should really enjoy the end of September.

We have been there at the end of Sept. and beginning of Oct. In Sept. the crowds are GREAT! Or should I sack lack there of...

Both times were hotter than the HOT with the 100% humidity... Personally, I will take less humidity and more people next time.

We were there in mid-Sept 2005. Crowds were non existant, but I couldn't take the heat and humidity. It was VERY physically draining. I wouldn't do that again...but I did love being able to walk on every ride with the 3 year old twins, and not having to wait in line ever!

Hi. We were there September 17-24,2003.....and it was nice. Not really too hot for us (being from the deep south) but it still was pretty humid. I just remember the "love bugs" being in full force!!! They were everywhere. Not harmful in anyway...but a real PEST! Also, there will be those pop-up showers to contend with...but grab a rain ponch and enjoy....some folks tend to leave the parks when it rains...and then you have the place to yourself it seems. Crowd levels were very managable...Infact we will be there again this year in Sept.! HOOOOOOORAY!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

We were there Sept 30-Oct 5 this year.

It was very warm, into the low 90's some days, but very tolerable. But ds 23mo did get very warm as he is not use to the heat and the sun all day.

When my kids are older (out of strollers and diapers) I will definitely do this time of the year again, but taking small children, I will wait until early November.

I have done September twice now (2004 and 2005). I love Sept. It is still very hot (can't compare to June or July as I have never been then). I did find it more crowded in 2005 compared to 2004. Not bad, but also more than I was really expecting. I am really hoping for another Sept 2006 trip before my AP expires, but that will have to see how my new job goes and if I will be able to get the time off!
