How do you keep your self busy during the time period that you can have electronics I have toyed with the idea of bringing a book but what are some other ideas

Aside from a reading book...

* Bring a crossword/word search/sudoku book
* Read the inflight magazine
* Look through Skymall
* Crosstitch (this is what DW does)
* People watch
* Look out the window
* Daydream
* Nap
* Talk to your companion

Thanks for the ideas I won't have a companion going solo but will consider the other ideas

Whatever you do during any twenty or so minute block when you're just sitting with no access to electronics. If your airline offers free tv or radio, that's on almost all the time. Part of the prep/taxi time will be spent watching and listening to the safety instructions.
