Just wondering

Thanks DLPDaft

How much are the annual passes? I remember seeing posters for the franncilian (sp) in may, is there different types?

thanks a mill elaine, will go have a look now.

am going in march and have paid this already so i will probably wait until my next trip (one can dream...) to buy the ap. :thumbsup2

so if i buy a one day one park ticket will i be refunded the ticket price when buying the annuel passport?

I bought my annual pass at DLRP and booked my hotel through orbitz - got a very good rate that way. Also the Dream Castle and Magic Circus plus other offsite hotels include breakfast which also serve hot items (unlike some onsite hotels - the DLH and Hotel NY have hot breakfast as well/no need to prebook a time- but not all of them) and you don't need to prebook a time for breakfast with Dream Castle or Magic Circus which I found annoying when I stayed onsite.

Also as far as Extra Magic Hours I didn't find them as essential since the parks are smaller it is easy to do your favorites multiple times. Of course I went in March and June - and it wasn't crowded - August might be different. The first day I went to EMH - and by the second day I was going later - just not necessary. The only thing that might make me swing for Extra Magic Hours would be if I had small children who wanted to enjoy Fantasyland.

Enjoy your planning!:surfweb:

So you mean when you stay onsite this included breakfast isn't a HOT breakfast at most properties AND you need ADR's for a cold breakfast?? :confused3 That's silly. When & where do you make your ADR's?!

I still don't know what we're doing. On-site cash, on-site with points, off-site but near DLP, off-site in the city?! :confused3 I just don't know. And IF we switch plans and stay in the city I guess we need to make sure we're near a train station so we can catch the train out to DLP easily?! Are there different kinds of train stations? How do I know what to look for when looking for a hotel in the city?! :confused3 OY!!!

The two Disney hotels that offer hot breakfast are New York and Disneyland Hotel - also the Admirals floor at NBC has some breakfast advantages - but someone else will have to clarify on that thought.

The other Disney hotels - SF, Cheyenne, NB and SL have a continental breakfast buffet - rolls, chocolate pastries, baguette, cheeses, yogurt, stewed apples or tinned fruit, ham, salami. In order to makes things go more smoothly at breakfast there is a "reservation" system. When you check in, you will be asked what time you'd like to have breakfast and will be given a "ticket" with your time on it. I choose an early breakfast time my first stay - 7:30am - and it was fairly relaxing but started to get a little chaotic around 8:00am. This whole breakfast issue is one of the things that encouraged me to try an off site hotel and in all honesty - it really was worth it to me. I like a leisurely morning and hot breakfast and I could do both of those for a price I was happy with off site. Now - The NY and DLH offer that as well - I just didn't want to spend the money at the time - but might very happily stay at either of these hotels one day!:wizard:

I liked staying at/near Disney as it is very relaxing - pastoral/lake views etc so that is why I chose Dream Castle or Magic Circus - I got the breakfast I wanted without the hassle for a price that made me happy. I had to give up being a little closer to the magic and EMH.

As far as hotels in the city - I don't have a lot of experience - others will be able to give advice. I do know Disney is on the RER A line. They have a RER system and a Metro system. There is a great website called parisbytrain.com for maps and such. There are also hotels in Val'D Europe - the shopping area one stop away from Disney which might be convenient.

Happy Planning!:surfweb:
