That they're changing the dumbo ride?:sad1:::scared1: I mean i get it'll be more modern and interesting but come on Dumbo's a classic!!! We've all grown up riding the exact same outside ride. I'm pretty sure it's basically the same thing but in a tent but still...

Plus they have to move toon town to make room for it!!!

I get stuff like star tours, which really did need an update but dumbo? In my opinion it's equivelant to making pirates of the carribean about aliens!!!
:sad1::mad:
Anyone else's thoughts?

The only reason I'm upset is that they already killed so many of Walt's originals. Now I've been on Dumbo once and its not worth the half hour wait it always has. But they gotta stop messing with Walt's ideas.

By the way, Pirates is getting changed to Christmas in the Carribean.

I'm pretty sure that Christmas in the Caribbean thing was an April Fools joke ;)

I have never been on the Dumbo ride so I couldn't really care less. The ride isn't being enclosed, and there's two rides instead of one. The interactive queue looks entertaining, and better then a normal queue. Toontown was meant to be temporary, and not permenant, and they're keeping the Barnstormer. It's an improvement to me.

Actually, the Barnstormer is getting changed to some sort of clown coaster to match the new Dumbo ride.

I knew it was an April Fools joke. Though it would be interesting.

But it's still being kept. They're just redesigning it to fit in with the Dumbo theme.

The best part of that joke was the Spot n' Shop interactive game. Takes product placement to a whole new level!

Personally, I love the idea. But that's just me. I will miss Toontown, though.

It has a lot or memories of meeting Minnie and Mickey as a child, and going into their houses, AMAZED that I was in Minnie's pink house. :cutie:
I used to go around, touching everything in there cause I thought it was so cool and pretty.

And now it'll be gone. :(

I will miss Dumbo. I'll ride it when I go in June if the line isn't too big, just to say I rode Dumbo before it got changed.

What confuses me is that I don't know if all of the fantasyland attractions (I.E. Mickey's Phillhar Magic) are going away with the new expansion. Does anyone know this?

The only thing I'll miss about toontown is Mickey and Minnies houses, I remember going in Minnies house when I was little and was so in awe because it was like a huge doll house to me(:

None of the others are closing. They just weren't included in the blueprint or concept art because no changes are occuring in that area.

So what exactly all is being changed with the Fantasyland refurb?

There making two Dumbos and putting it in a tent, there changing the Barnstormer to a clown theme and Mickey and the rest of Toontown are getting kicked out for Tinkerbell and friends, Belle's Village and a Princess meet and greet.

I am 99% sure this is correct.

Oh goodness.

Well, hopefully they'll do a good job

And if you don't have nothing nice to say then don't say nothing at all :upsidedow

I have absolutely no problem with this. Long live the Fantasyland Forest expansion.. it's a much needed plus.

... they're doing a lot more than that..

This picture is exaggerated a bit, but I still think it shows the vastness of the expansion:

What else are they doing?

Mickey'sToontown Fair - going buh-bye
Possible makeover of the Winnie the Pooh Area
Tremaine's house- interactive storytelling of Cinderella's story
Belle's village - Gaston's tavern, Be Our Guest Restaurant, the Enchanted Castle (interactive storytelling)
Aurora - Woodcutter's Cottage- interactive meet and greet of Aurora with birthday activities
Ariel - Ariel's Undersea Adventure (clone of the DCA one I believe), along with relocation of Ariel's grotto
Dumbo moving to former Toontown spot, doubling, circus theme, using new NextGen Queue
Barnstormer - rethemed to circus, potentially Casey Jr. theme, only speculation
And Pixie Hollow, which I don't know much about, an it looks a lot better in the concept art than in the model.
**edited because it was originally meant to be temporary, unlike Toontown in DL, TDL..
